Staff were rude and very short. I had to repeat my order 3 times to make sure it was all there. The order of fries that I got might have had 20 total fries in the bag, if it was that many. Sweet tea was also so watered down you couldn’t taste the tea.

Would give ZERO stars if I could. We really had some good experiences here until today. Our order that was given to the waitress was not translated correctly to whoever put the order in. I could hear her saying they don’t want fries they want a side of chili instead. I also asked for mayo instead of the heavenly sauce on my chicken sandwich….we first get our sandwiches and a cup of cheese, we say we are supposed to get a chili so she comes back with a big bowl. My chicken sandwich has the sauce that I didn’t want, but at this point things are not looking good so I just scrape it off. Here comes the bill and we are charged for two bowls and also two sides of chili. We explained to them at the register what was wrong, the manager that came over was not very skilled in customer service, he wasn’t trying to please anyone. He seemed to have an attitude and didn’t really give a crap about it. He took off the two cheap sides instead of the expensive bigger bowl, did we eat it he asks? Yeah not all of it, well you have to pay for it he says, and then he just walks off. Poor young waitress didn’t get a tip because of his sorry performance as a manager. Won’t be back to that location. Not sure the managers name, but the clip holding his tag on his shirt said “fueled on ice coffee” lol

The staff was tryin their best and you could tell it was an overwhelming day. I have to assume that this restaurant is understaffed like most places. Still, everyone was friendly and the food was decent. I have to give up on goritos though... they are my favorite but the hillsboro location seems to make them about half the size. Just never full enough!

Sat in the drive through for more than 10 minutes waiting on 2 coneys and 3 ways, all working stood around laughing on the phone. Other people behind us started yelling whats taking so long while all employees stood around giggling.

My husband and I always liked Gold Star in Hillsboro Ohio but yesterday was not good.I know mistakes happen or it gets realy busy,but it wasn't too busy.I got water instead of sprite.I asked for Lrg spring salad,with hot chicken.I received a 1/2 Salad,and chicken was cold not heated,and second time I got salad there was hardly any cheese on salads.When by husband got his 3-way I've never seen one all sunk in ,low on cheese,and melted and sunk in down the middle.Im sorry but the man cooking needs more training or too many standing around talking.We still like Hillsboro Gold star,but something is wrong.Thank You

We dinned in tonight and witness Kyle a cook, possibly a shift leader, yell at one of the servers. She was working her tail off and severing everyone she could. The hour we were there, she didn’t stop moving. To hear him yell at her from the far side of the restaurant was uncalled for. We will not be back.
