Lovely old fashioned little place. Good sandwiches, delicious ice cream. Has turn of the century vibes. Lovely atmosphere - one suggestion would be to remove the carpet in the eating area. :) otherwise would definitely recommend this quaint spot. 🥰
Get the famous bubble!!
Best ice cream around. Nothing beats the bubble.
We always like to stop on the way back from a motorcycle ride for a little treat.
Home of the Bubble ice cream
So Michael's Ice Cream shop is a step back in time. It's a good place to stop on a road trip, just a hop-skip-and-a-jump from Rt 35. Lots of hand dipped flavors from which to choose, after sampling of course. They have cute sidewalk table seating as well as inside options. Very friendly staff. Fair price. Nice sized scoops. And ice cream is very good.
I got the blackberry cheesecake bubble. It was delicious. Great, attentive service. Thank you!
Love the bubbles and the splits
10yrs ago this place was amazing! Stopped in for a quick ice cream with my kids the other day and it definitely was not quick. Love the old timey atmosphere but the order process definitely should be reevaluated. Got in line to order at the counter thinking it would be quicker than getting a table, ended up taking 30mins just to order. As you order each item, they make it but they're not in any hurry. And with 2 small kids, 30mins is a LONG time. Each order took around 7-10mins. Only 1 girl working tables, 1 working counter. And no organized line so people were jumping up to order ahead of others who had been waiting. Great ice cream and love their Bubbles! Great option if you like salty and sweet together. Lots of flavor variety options as well. Have not tried their hot food yet. Staff was busy so I kinda get it, but felt they could have been friendlier. Front of house where counter is is very 50s nostalgic! But the dining area seemed like an after thought- just cheap tables surrounded by storage boxes and shelves against cinder block walls. And for a 50s-esque local owned ice cream spot, the prices are pretty low compared to others I've been to. 25$ for 4 ice cream, 3 bottled drinks, and 2 candies.
The ice cream is amazing but the food isn't great. Then again it's an ice cream parlor so you get what you get. Many many options for flavors, toppings, variants, etc etc. Not friendly if you have any allergies though. If you have a strong peanut allergy I do not advise going inside since they have big barrels of different types of nuts right by the front door. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. The only parking is on the busy street. The service is polite and fast. You get so much ice cream with even a singular scoop. If you're in Jackson, I highly recommend stopping here for a cold treat!
