First time trying this place out, saw a picture of their sausage and pepperoni pizza online and really wanted to try it out. Not sure if the guy there was having an off day or not but the pizza was absolutely disgusting. It wasn’t cooked all the way and the cheese smelled rancid. It almost smelled like a sweaty person which immediately threw off my appetite. It was the only pizza in my lifetime that I threw darn near the whole thing away. The chicken and jojos were decent and cooked well. They had a nice crisp. Burger was decent as well. I’m sure this place isn’t bad but I’d steer clear of the pizza after this. The guy working there was very pleasant and kind, and the shop had a nice old hole in the wall type of feel to it. Personally I probably won’t be back as I drove from Akron to try this place out, but I do wish the owners the best. Please cook the pizzas all the way and check on that cheese!

Found this hidden gem randomly thanks to google and I’m soooo happy I did. Without a doubt probably the best pizza and jojos I’ve ever had in my entire freaking life. Sooo good!! Will definitely go back and recommend to anyone I can!

I have known A Gild pizza all my life! And when I learned my high school friend acquired the pizza shop and incorporated his DZZ BBQ I couldn’t wait to get back to Ohio! Well, tonight was an amazing night with family at A Gilds pizza and we sat reminiscing with Del since we were only a year apart at Garfield! Man what a great evening! The pizza was exactly how I remember it and let me tell you living in Kansas City home of bbq, they ain’t got nothing on what DZZ bbq brings!! Woohoo that was theee best ribs I’ve ever had!! If you haven’t tried this place I highly encourage you too Congrats Delbert on your achievements! It was so great to see you and having the pleasure catching up!! Pizza is amazing. Tastes the same way it did over 20 years ago when they were on Brown street in Akron, I drive 40 min every so often to have this pizza.
This place is a masterclass in disappointment, a dining experience so profoundly bad it felt like a deliberate act of sabotage. This wasn't just a bad pizza; it was an insult to the very concept of pizza. The dough was less of a crust and more of a sad, limp cracker, tasting suspiciously like it had been thawed a few hours prior to being served. It was pale and flabby, lacking any semblance of a golden-brown hue or a satisfying crunch. Then came the sauce, a watery, metallic-tasting substance that was a crime against tomatoes. It was so thin it pooled in the center, creating a soggy, unappealing swamp. The cheese, if you can even call it that, was a greasy, congealed blanket of sorrow. Instead of stretching and melting, it slid off in one unholy sheet, revealing a meager and uneven distribution of toppings. The pepperoni was suspiciously pale and tasted like bland cardboard, while the few scattered mushrooms seemed to have a texture akin to canned rubber. The final insult? The price. They charged a king's ransom for this culinary abomination. I left feeling robbed, my stomach grumbling not with hunger, but with regret. Save your money and your taste buds—this place is a monument to bad pizza.

Hands down, best pizza I've had since a favorite place closed as a child. The cheese is incredible, the chew is perfect and the size is huge!! Dont even pause - order and you'll thank me! Also the owner was very gracious to me when the order was messed up.
