Perfect restaurant, amazing cuisine, exceptional service, highly curated menu, phenomenal craft cocktails, magical atmosphere. Elevated but not pretentious. Authentic food, modern environment, vintage touches like crystal cocktail glasses and velvet bar stools and the perfect nostalgic dinner music floating around the packed dining room. Just pure excellence. Maddalena’s manages to be cool and modern and classic all at the same time. The music, the centerpiece stylish bar, the wood fire pizza, the community vibe, the elevated cocktails, the lovely service, and the exquisite food makes this place the epitome of taste, in every sense.

The restaurant is loud and tinny. The bar literally juts out into the middle of the room. The wait staff is detached and come off way too familiar and unconcerned with the customers, all hanging out at the bar, laughing and joking with each other. That could be forgiven, if the food was worth the price. I’d say this place is a dud. I give it a year, maybe 18 months, after they run through all the people who come to see what’s new and decide never to come back for average food at high prices.

I Had the mussels with sausage and homemade focaccia, Terrific! service was great. Small space with everybody talking. We were there at 7p on a Saturday. Next visit we will go before 5p. Lovely Italian food with great atmosphere.

My husband and I ate dinner here and had a lovely experience! We sat at the bar and one of the owners was our bar tender. The food was fantastic and the wine was just as good. It was a little crowded so my husband's chair kept getting bumped, which is why I'm giving the atmosphere 4 stars. It was also quite noisy but overall, we loved the place and will be back!!

The menu is amazing. Smaller menu that is changed up giving you more reason to go back. Everything we have had there is delicious and the quality is wonderful. Cute, small, cozy and we love the vibe! Bar is equally as nice and the drinks and service are absolutely delightful! Great experience every time!

Everything was fantastic. Menu is small but cohesive which made it feel homey and seasonal. Our server Paige was helpful, patient, and very kind, as was everyone else we saw. We had the arancini, mussels, and Caesar salad for appetizers; and the crab carbonara and beef cheek ravioli as our entrees. The gelato is definitely worth mentioning as well- please try the hazelnut. In laws from out of town absolutely loved the place, and not one single thing was off. Honestly one of, if not the best meal I’ve had in downtown Kent. What a great first visit and can’t wait to try more menu items (especially the pizzas!). Thanks for a great experience!

The atmosphere is outstanding, great vibe. They make pizzas per table order. So be prepared to wait. There was plenty of room in the oven, but our pizzas were not even started until the other orders came out. And they only tasted ok. The menu has no standard staples, so it is easy to try something new. Do not expect a pepperoni pizza, but you can count on a peach and arugula one.
