Overpriced for horrible quality. Got the butterscotch milkshake and it tasted like nothing. I asked the lady about it and she said “yeah we heard it’s bad. It’s the flavoring” and wouldn’t give a refund. The blueberry milkshake was also bland and expensive. PB on the Sundae tasted old. Rude service, super expensive for what it’s worth. I’m never going again.

I was first introduced to Stoddard’s in 1973, when I was still completing my undergraduate work at Kent State. I lived in Kent for 15 years and was a regular. I now live 30 minutes away, but still drive there to get their custard. It is THE BEST! I am especially fond of the fresh banana. You cannot go wrong with any of their flavors. Yum!

Not a good experience. They don’t make anything in house and their shakes are flavorless. They were very rude and told us they knew it was flavorless when we informed them. Also very expensive for the lack of quality especially with a Handel’s right down the road. No wonder they’re never busy.

Best custard ever. Iconic place my dad went to as a kid.
The ice cream is good, but the portion size is lacking especially compared to other ice cream places. That was a major let down. Honestly you are better to get a pint rather than a large.

Good ice cream but the portions are terrible. I would rather go to Stricklands or someplace else. I got a large cup and had to question that it was a large. I should have just gotten a pint and I would have gotten way more ice cream for 20 cents more.

I love Stoddard’s, my husband and I come here often around sunset to get a sweet dessert and chill. They always have more healthy options like frozen yogurt or sherbert options on the menu too. I love having a neighborhood/town ice cream spot like this around.

Like 15 years ago I convinced my parents to get me a large chocolate milkshake here. If you have ever tried one they are massive. More than twice the regular sized ones. Needless to say I consumed it all and vomited in my parents car. Like 15 years later I went back here expecting it to be long closed but it's still here with the massive milkshakes. So I ordered the same thing again and this time kept it down. I did feel like I was going to burst like a balloon but no regrets.I guess their other ice cream is pretty good too if you're not feeling gluttonous. They also have a drive through which is handy on a hot day.
