Unique Mexican food. Not your standard dishes but excellent and authentic dishes you won't see anywhere else. Lots of different margaritas but the house one is wonderful. Live music on the patio. We were lucky enough to see Jon Mosey. Fun and efficient server. We are about to become regulars

i have never done a review ever but with my experience last night i have to. i arrived before my party placed a drink order my party arrived shortly after. they placed their drinks. 15 minutes go buy no drinks the server then came to ask if were ready to order. we did got our food asked the server about our drinks its now been probably 30 minutes without drinks she said she would check in on them. ate all of our food still nothing so we canceled our drinks was probably 50 minutes with mot one beverage but the water they put on the table. the server was by herself not once did a manager come over to apologize , ask us why we didnt have drinks. she had to have her manager comp all drinks youd think he would of came over and asked why or even how service was.
as a restaurant owner everything i was dealt with last night was actually pathetic! do better

My favourite place for tacos in Kent, I bring all my friends here! The coconut battered shrimp tacos are the best. Service is also fantastic, Ryan is super informative and attentive. Always a good experience here 😊

Enjoyed the food, especially the batter cod taco. All good quality and prepared well. However the service was lacking. It was a slow night and guests seemed to be outnumbered by the staff. It took a while for pur order to be taken after we got drinks and nobody checked on us whilst we were waiting with empty glasses. We asked for more water when the appetizers came out but didnt get any until our entrees came, which was a good deal of time after. Im not sure what was going on near the bar (or maybe behind, in the kitchen) but there was a lot of banging. Some staff just seemed to be looking at their phones to, or socializing with a small number of people outside, which im ok with except our table wasn't being serviced and they weren't short staffed. Felt it bit more like they're bar focused rather than kitchen, despit the food being the highpoint. Our food ended up coming out via someone from the kitchen who seemed to be more diligent and also got us our water right away when we asked for it again. Food was expensive for what you get, i was still hungry, I could be ok with this - ive paid high for tacos etc before, if only the service had been better. Not against going back here but im hesitant

It's nice finding a place to eat that feels like it's a little more immersed in nature than most. The drinks were delicious! The food was great. I loved the live music.

Delicious drinks, apps and entrees! Third visit just as good as the first. Working our way through the menu and everything has been fresh, well seasoned and well presented. The staff is attentive and down to earth. Will keep going until I’ve sampled everything then will start all over!

What a pleasant surprise. Food was excellent, server was awesome, the house margarita was delicious, and the live music on the outdoor patio was so enjoyable. It seemed like I was on vacation.

Not alot of choices. Service was so slow. Don't think I'll go back.

We used to absolutely love this restaurant. We would tell everyone who enjoys Mexican to go give it a try but the last time we went will be the last time we go. It has gone downhill over time. The food isn't what it used to be, and the portions seem to be getting smaller while the prices rise. It is worth noting that the service is always great, they are always kind and courteous which is what I give the 3 stars for!

“Battleground Taco & Bar must be in a battle with their own kitchen. They’ve got some of the shortest food-serving hours I’ve ever seen, and if you show up 40 minutes before closing, good luck — they act like you’re ruining their night. Last time I went, they flat out said they had no food. No warning, no apology, just attitude. Don’t bother unless you like being treated like a nuisance instead of a customer
