I booked our table for my daughter's birthday. I noted that when I reserved the table. I asked about cake or cheesecake for her birthday. I never received an answer and the lake house did not acknowledge her birthday. The grouper bites were a fraction of the size I had gotten in the past. What gives?

Our family loves this restaurant and have spent several special occasions here. The food is delicious, and is often enjoyable for everyone. This most recent experience was disappointing due to the lack of attention our table received while we were there. Hoping next time is better!

We visited this September for dinner. Food was average. I’ve never had a server this bad before. Not friendly, never checked in on us. Every time we needed something we had to get up from our table. We won’t be back. The girl who delivered the food to our table was so much friendlier than the guy who was serving us.

The food was generally a solid B, though my chicken sandwich was smaller than expected for $16. There was 6 of us at the table so our server was a bit overwhelmed, but she was probably just learning the trade, so I had no complaints about it. It's an old house that has been freshened up---parts are a bit dated, but the view of the lake is beautiful. I'm 50-50 as to whether I would come back again.
Been wanting to try this place-tonight we finally got up there. Made reservations, but didnt need them-had open table when we got there. Too chilly to sit outside like I wanted so had 2 sit inside. She wantd to sit us right next to (literally) a table of 6, luckily there was another booth available, w/o a view. Wish they would let you reserve a window seat online. I got the fish ,fries & Caesar salad. All were yummy. Tartar sauce was so good! Hubs got the chicken sandwich, fries & dinner salad, said all were good. Not a lot of options to choose from, but would prob try everything on the menu-all sounded good!

I was very disappointed in the Shrimp and Crab Louie. On the menu it was described as crab, shrimp, lettuce, avocado, heirloom tomatoes with house remoulade. What I received was more like lettuce with a scoop of crab and shrimp (think chicken or tuna salad). There were no tomatoes or avocado's to be seen. While it tasted fine, I was ðefiniyely disappointed. My husband' walleye was good but the proportion was very small for the price ($25). We are from out of state and only visit family in the area 4 times a year and always try to come to the Lake House for the view and atmosphere and this was the first time we were unhappy with the food. The Heavenly biscuits were wonderful as usual.
