Today a Lenten Friday I went to Capt Ds Kettering for lunch. My Giant Fish Sandwich was good but the lettuce was discolored red and brown indicating it was older and should not be served. Then my wife ordered FISH, crabcake and fries meal. The fish was actually a pitiful chicken strip. It wasn’t even an entire strip as one end looked like a piece was broken off. The crab cake was not very tasty. C’mon man get it together.

Service was Extremely Good. I would never expect such friendliness from a fast food joint. They asked about everything. First class. As I sat in the drive-through waiting for the food, I noticed how clean and organized the backend of the counter is , you never see that. Polite, friendly as I said first class extremely good give those boys a raise.

I have no words. This is pitiful. Fish burnt, shrimp undercooked and old. Very few old ass fries. Idk about eating the baked potato even. Wtf.

Worst food experience of my life. I've worked for captain ds for over a year and its just the worst, I was a manager for the Kettering store. Alot of you say it's going under because it is. The environment and upper management in the captain ds force are trash they underpay and over work they adjust hours that you've worked hard for and take money that you've earned. The food it's bought for 1$ and sold you guys "our loved customers" for over a 400% price jack if I'm being truly honest take your business to another restaurant and let captain ds go out of business they don't care about what your eating nor the ones who buy there food

I heard that the manager who worked today on 9/14/24 was belittling and yelling at a man who works there with disabilities. It’s all over social media. How are you going to hide or explain that? I understand working in a food place is hectic. However as a grown adult you do not yell at someone who is trying their best. Walk over and help them and tell the customer to wait. They’ve been waiting they can wait five more minutes. Whoever this manager is needs to be fired. I do not want a comment back that you’re sorry this happened. What needs to happen is for that manager to be fired. Good luck trying to explain this one given that it’s the only thing rn on my feed. The manager should be fired and ashamed of themselves

I just wanted to say I haven’t been here in awhile but the service was fine. The line was a little long in the drive-through, but that’s typical anywhere. The person at the window is very polite. My complaint was the food it was terrible. The chicken was dark brown like it had been sitting too long and double dipped in grease, the fish was soggy. My hush puppies were soggy. I just expect when you spend $50 plus on some food. You should be able to eat it. Needless to say the only thing good out of all this evening was the cheesecake. You got to do better Captain D’s. Js!!
I’ve always liked Captain D’s and haven’t got it in awhile until today. I saw the new lobster rolls and wanted to give them a try. Unfortunately they were stone cold and look vastly different than what’s advertised. It didn’t even come with the lettuce on it to make it look a bit more appetizing. My only other complaint was the taste of the Dr. Pepper was off, it tasted like carbonated water with little syrup. Fish tasted okay.

Bought skewered shrimp dinner with broccoli and baked potato using drive-through. Thurs eve 9/5. The potato was the size of a peach, looked bad on the outside and was rotten on the inside so I had to pitch it. Had a similar dinner last week with wild caught salmon that was pretty good with a large fluffy white baked potato. For years I have occasionally bought a quick carry-out from this Kettering location on my way home from work and its quality control has always been sketchy at best. This time it was so bad I am absolutely DONE. Never again will I waste my money or risk my health with their food.

Why does it take 30 minutes just to get food now??? Also y does oil taste old constantly??? This place is gone totally downhill since the closed and reopened!! Will not be going back anytime soon!!
