Way too expensive. Spaghetti with meatsauce and meatballs was $28. The sauce on the lasagna wasn't great.

Hidden gem in Centerville/Kettering. Food is absolutely fresh and scrumptious every single time. It's an informal ambiance. Servers are always friendly, and talk to you like you're an old cousin.

In truth, I've only been there once. The reason for that was the unbelievably bad service. It was right after they opened in Kettering, and with all of the food choices available in that area only a fool goes back for more. Myself, my wife and two children went in to eat at this converted Taco Bell, having heard good things about the food from their location in the Belmont area of Dayton.
The place was not more than a third full, so once we were seated I didn't see the need for a 45 minute wait to order, and then another 30 plus minute wait for food which never arrived at the table. The reason for that being we watched as a party of three who came in after us ordered their food, ate it and left. Our two children were getting restless, so I went to the front counter and as politely as possible asked that our order be converted to takeout order. With the kids and wife already in the car, after another ten minutes I watched as the (I can't call this person a chef) food packer took my food off a plate by dumping it upside down into a box. I guess I insulted his careful prep effort after waiting an hour and 25 minutes for some mediocre spaghetti and a calzone...To top it off, when we got home the food was lukewarm at best and just not that good.
I'm glad about one thing: Since we ended up with takeout, it saved me from having to leave a penny for a tip. I very much dislike being rude anytime, but especially to wait staff - Having been there as a teenager, I understand what can be a very stressful job.
What we should have done is simply get up and leave. Waiting for more bad service from someone who has already proven they don't care about your business is a waste of your time.
Maybe they've improved over the years, but why bother? I love Italian and they are a two minute drive from the house, so it was much more than just one dinner they lost over the years. I've advised everyone I know personally about this episode as well.
In short, just a terrible experience.🙁

My son and I went to Jimmy's Italian Kitchen before a concert at Fraze Pavillion. We are from out of town, so we told our server we weren't sure where to park at the concert venue. She had another server tell us where to park, which was extremely helpful. The food was excellent, especially the eggplant collating. We are from an area that is known for its Italian food and the eggplant was the best I've ever had. If I'm back in the Dayton area, I will return.
