Me and my weekly lunch bunch of 6 ladies have this place in our regular rotation. The clam chowder is perfection with tender, not chewy, clams. Paired it with Boom Boom shrimp for the tastiest lunch. Just sorry it took me so long to try this place.

Sea Jax Tavern is a good place to be. The service was great! The servers were very friendly! I visited Sea Jax right after the Renaissance festival, and my day had just been really bleh. And with surrounding festivals, it was just exhausting for both me and my date. But lo and behold, Sea Jax Tavern! I was still wearing makeup and my costume as a viking (course I wore a tank top), and staff had just gave me compliments on it and had a real conversations. Def will be coming back

I had my first, and last, dining experience... all at the same time!! Definitely won't be back. The only saving grace was the Caesar salad, it was good, all the other food was blah. Grouper (?) was definitely NOT fresh, as prepared it tasted rubbery and had a scrambled egg consistency. The rice was definitely from a box. 99% sure that their bowtie pasta salad was Suddenly Salad (or a similar variety). Way overpriced for portion and quality. The service was also bad. Once the food was delivered, I was forgotten about and never checked on.

This place is amazing! Always good service and food! I had the spinach salad and my husband had the creole shrimp. I recommend the boom boom shrimp as an appetizer. I forgot to take a pic it was so delicious ? if you love a down to earth restaurant come to sea Jax tavern!

It's one of my favorite spots. Great service. The beer menu rotates but always has good local stuff. I like the restroom too. The toilet never has a problem flushing, and the sink has both hot and cold water available as well as a cleansing soap to use while washing the hands. Try a burger or the Grouper sandwich if you don't know what to get.

I love the atmosphere of an older place. Boom Boom Shrimp was awesome. The fish and chips the breading seemed heavy and mushy. Our server was very good.
