“This post is not about the food (Although, it was great, as always - Especially the potato soup!)! Instead, we would like to compliment you on one of your managers, Dan (Xenia). From afar today we witnessed an irate customer storming out of the restaurant, and Dan unknowingly, just simply said something to the effect of have a good day. The gentleman turned around and was cussing with his finger in Dan‘s face - just totally inappropriate. Being in the customer service field for several years, as a supervisor or manager, you always want to try to fix the problem, but there are times, as today, the best thing you can do is let the situation diffuse. As angry as he was, the situation could have become dangerous. As the man ranted and raved, Dan remained calm, cool, and collected! We are thankful for his wisdom in understanding how to handle a difficult situation! Thank you again to Dan and his wonderful bosses who knew who to put in charge! “I thought I’d be missing Cinci after moving back home, but dang has Adams County stepped up their game!! We visited Smoking J’s for the first time about a month ago and we’ve been back twice since. Staff is friendly, service is prompt, and to-go orders have been ready quickly & correctly each visit. Hands down best brisket I’ve ever eaten and their bbq sauce is top notch. My partner raves about the brisket stroganoff!”

“Tonight we had a party of 17, Randolph took amazing care of us. He did absolutely amazing at keeping things in order, drinks filled, kept the table cleared away as we ate. All our food was delicious Randolph has a great friendly personality which made our experience even better, best service I've had in a long time, especially for having a large crowd. “I've been going a lot more recently since they opened, and the drinks have been consistently good. I've been ordering on the app about less than 10 mins before I arrive, so I have a drink while I speed run grocery errands, and they are always ready when I get there. The refreshers are delicious, and I never hear complaints from my partner for their coffee. The baristas are and have always been very nice from the beginning. I figured our drinks from before were just blips from just opening.(I only gave the atmosphere a 4, but that's of no fault of theirs. The location is just horrible in the store. It's a very overwhelming area, especially when kroger is busy.)Original I really hate to say this, but the coffees we got were so terrible that we ended up throwing them away, and I was truly sad I wasted my money for a treat. I know it'll only improve with time, and I understand they just opened recently, so I'll give it some slack. I understand how hard it is to open in a small town.”
