Huge disappointment in the way the owner treated the waitress. The waitress has worked here since we’ve been coming here and is awesome! (She is the ONLY reason I am giving one star because the owner doesn’t even deserve that) When she put our order in, the owner screamed at her in front of the customers because of what we ordered!!!! Totally disrespectful and inappropriate. My omelet was burnt and I didn’t send it back because I was afraid the waitress would get in trouble. Now that’s pretty bad.

BEWARE of the chef. I have been eating at Avery’s for years. We had the worst experience last week. I was with my wife, 6,8 and 11 year old children. The waitress turned are order in to be scorned by the female chef. I believe she may be the owner? The chef screamed, belittled and yelled at the waitress over the order. It was loud enough for everyone in the restaurant to hear. I have never seen this type of behavior even from my children let alone an employer. The waitress was embarrassed, my children were asking me questions and my wife and I were shocked in disbelief. I will never set foot in Avery’s again. I will tell everyone I know as well.

we had lunch there today and really enjoyed it.we had the Perch sandwich with Cole slaw and fries and then I had a slice of peach pie and a cup of coffee.Both of the waitresses were very friendly and ask plenty times if there was anything else they can help us with.We felt very welcome.The food was outstanding,the service also.what more could we ask for. we will recommend it any chance we get.We need more places like that

Hidden treasure in Marblehead. My friend and I stumbled upon this place right after our arrival in town, desperate for food. We couldn't have been happier. The waitress was super friendly, recommended the perch (it was some of the best perch I've ever eaten), and gave us more suggestions on places to visit during our stay. 10/10 on the food, service and atmosphere -- especially if you can snag an outside table!
