“My friend and I were out enjoying this fall day. We stopped in for a festive fall drink. An Autumn Glow and a frozen expresso martini our bartender Cat was an absolute rockstar. The food was fabulous too.”

“Delicious food, a great wine and cocktail selection and a beautiful atmosphere! The Canoe Club is one of our absolute favorites and a must stop if you are in the area! We ate there last night and we were waited on by Ally, who was one of the best servers we have had! Thank you Canoe Club for always being a fantastic dining experience!”

“We were in the area for 4 days. Cleats was the only restaurant we visited twice! Their outdoor patio is nice with a marina view. The appetizers were great. Foods were a little lackluster. The frozen cocktails were delicious. The second visit, our 4 kids were whiny, loud, and impatient. Our waitress (wish I would have got her name) was so kind and patient with us. She got mom and dad’s drinks out right away with waters for all the kids. Brought coloring pages and crayons. Took the babies binky and rinsed it off after it fell to the ground and brought it back wrapped in a napkin. She was very attentive and kind to our family. :)”

“I actually love the place. Unfortunately on our last visit we ordered prime rib which was without a doubt the worst I have ever had. I would think they'd be embarrassed to serve it and to charge $25 was robbery at its finest. Very disappointing from a place I typically enjoy.”

“Had never been before and were cruising by on the lake. Found this place on google maps and decided to check it out and see if we could dock and dine. Yes! We have a 42’ LOA and draft 3.5’ and they had no issue finding us a spot on a busy Saturday night. Beware, tight maneuvering required so maybe not for the faint of heart captain. Good food, good drinks, great atmosphere and live music. We very much would recommend.”

“On our first visit to Lakeside we were so impressed with the customer service at the Whistle Stop Ice Cream. The place is teeny tiny, probably only fits 8-10 customers at one time, but the service is quick and very friendly. The women working the shop recognized my 9 year old son's non verbal autism and immediately engaged with him in an informed and appropriate way. They pointed to the ice cream containers to make sure they were scooping the one he was choosing and they watched his body language cues to understand that he wanted to add sprinkles to the top of his treat. As a special needs family, that kindness and understanding is so appreciated. Other information to add- They were serving Toft's ice cream when we were there, they also have Dole Whips, popcorn and Slushies. Since the place is so tiny there are no bathrooms, no inside seating, there was a bench outside. Prices were fair market value for a small shop. Cash and Check only.”

“Just spent an awesome day at Baypoint Resort & Marina and I’m already counting down until we’re back! Caught The Visitors playing at the tiki bar and they absolutely crushed it! Such a fun, high energy set. The whole vibe was immaculate, from the music to the water views, and the bartenders were on point. Seriously, we love everything about this place. “came up from perry county for a little summer fun and told my wife I was not leaving back to the hills till I had some type of seafood and this joint was on point! I had 2 lobster tails with potatoes as a side absolutely delicious also had a half pound of crab legs, my son had the steam pot and he loved it, my other son had pizza and shrimp and he loved the pizza and I ate the shrimp he was full from the pizza, my wife had the steam pot but brought it home and she tore it up when we walked in the door! highly recommend and loved being able to sit 5 feet from the lake! employees was the best and very helpful! check this place out you won't regret it!”
