“The Island Grind is such a unique addition to Middle Bass. It's located right off the Miller dock behind the historic Lonz Winery which gives you the perfect first, or last, stop when you're visiting the island! I always get a frozen chai and it's unlike anything I've ever had from any cafe. They also have a prohibition bar around the side and it looks straight out of the 1920s and the drinks are delicious. I've gone to both places several times this season. The owner Jane is also absolutely amazing. She puts so much attention and care into her craft and her connection to customers. I'm looking forward to coming back next season!”

“For being one of 3 food places on the island it’s not bad. The pizza was okay nothing special and we ordered twice from here( over phone for pick up) food was always ready when I got there. I did like my Italian sub….I also got us a soft pretzel with cheese and I wouldn’t get that again. 9.99$ for a regular sized pretzel and the bottom of the pretzel was hard. I also paid the extra 1$ for the mustard and I didn’t care for it.”

“I highly suggest if you come here to rent a villa from air bnb. The villa we stayed in was awesome and all the locals around us were very friendly and helpful! The staff was also friendly.”

“Beautiful Inn, Everything was ready, clean able to check in early enjoyed a nice bottle of their wine that they provided close to everything! Walking distance to the Marblehead lighthouse to local establishments for breakfast or for a few cocktails and fun that there is a winery and coffee shop right downstairs! Definitely will come back and stay again!!”

“I've been going to the Pump for years. It is my go to for lunch or dinner on the island. The staff is friendly and the food is very good. Also one of the few, if not the only, restaurant/bar on the island with a pool table, so it is a great place as a night spot too. Try the fish tacos. They're the best! And don't forget their special hot sauce for the tacos and the fries.”

“Anything and Everything, Colleen makes. From. breakfast sandwiches (without a full kitchen) to her fabulous quiches, to her wonderful scones and cookies, all served with fresh fruit. “Tends to be pretty busy but you can get a LOT of food here. We got the Homer (sandwich) which is MASSIVE and the Kamehameha pizza. Took about 30 ish minutes to arrive. The live music is fun. “Amazing breakfast in put in bay. Great view of the main street. Server was amazing and the food above excellent. Great way to start your morning on the island. I highly recommend. EnjoyUpdate: We had to go back to Pasquales Cafe for breakfast. We were beyond impressed with this dining experience. Both days we had Sirena as our server and she is by far the best server we could have asked for. She kept ours drinks full, she anticipated our needs and she has that personality that just makes your day better for having been around her. Great way to start our day and end our trip on the island. The food was top notch quality. A must visit if you are at Put in Bay. Even two days in a row we were completely satisfied each time. Great job Pasquale’s. Highly recommend.”

“We didn't eat there, but sat at the bar for drinks. Service was attentive. When there is a popular sports game on t.v., it can get crowded. Food is cooked on an outdoor grill.”

“Hubby and I really liked this place. We went twice and sat outside both times so I can't speak to dining inside. We tried the 8 wine samples and liked almost every one of them. We had the fish dip with pita crackers and the cheese tray which also came with bread and apples. Everything was so delicious. For our dinner, we had pepperoni/sausage/mushroom pizza with jalapenos. It was so good! We had to take half of it back to our airbnb and ate it cold the next day and it was still delicious! The restaurant is out away from town which makes it nice to be out in the country. Next door is the KI Cantina which is a Mexican restaurant owned by the same people.”

“Driven by for years and finally stopped today. Camping at East Harbor State Park on a cold March weekend and a nice lunch was in order. Got a window seat upstairs and the brush along the lagoon has been cleared so nice views. Will definitely stop again. Ran about $60 for the two of us.”

“I just wanted to make sure that now it's the end of the season that I expressed how amazing we think that Dominic who worked this summer is. We come to the island just about every other weekend and we stay at the carriage house often when we stay and he has went above and beyond to make sure that not only is our stay great but when we visit the winery we have everything we need. My 10 year old son thinks it's incredible that he remembers him each time he comes in and knows he always comes in for a chocolate strawberry. We have come to the island for many many many years and the service is always great but Dominic definitely shot it above and beyond. The view here is to die for too!”

“The Chocolate Cafe is fantastic! The products are of the highest quality, the service was excellent and the atmosphere is welcoming. There is a small Chocolate Museum inside that is informative and fun. They offer a nice selection of chocolates, ice cream and beverages.”

“One of our favorite places! We make the 75 minute drive several times a year to check out Orchard. We highly recommend their fall and. Heist as pop up bars but no matter when you go, the drinks, food and service will always be top notch!Parking: There’s space around but you’ll circle the lot a time or two or park up and down the street. “Our first visit to the island and this was our first stop after getting our golf cart. They had a special of an open face ribeye sandwich, and I upgraded from fries to onion rings. My hubby got the walleye nuggets and fries.”

“Graat place to pull up by boat or the road. River is quick to help secure your boat and does it with a smile! The entire bar and wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was surprisingly good, I was expecting "tourist" food and got so much more. The menu has many gluten free options,which is very appreciated. The shrimp and scallops meal (gf) was amazing, the scallops were BIG and cooked perfectly. The chicken brushetta meal (gf) was juicy and full of flavor. The fish tacos were very fresh with large pieces of fish and great for a quick meal. The shrimp Cajun pasta was also a hit with our group, a large serving of pasta and I think 6 large shrimp. All of the meals were very generous portions.”

“While in Marblehead for a couple nights we happened upon this local dive bar. And I say that will all due respect, that’s my kind of bar. The area has plenty of pretentious “tiki” bars for the tourists, this is clearly where the locals go for good food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere. We returned for a second night and I was impressed that Liz (our bartender both nights) remember us and what we were drinking. We felt like locals. And Brian did not disappoint when it came to the wings! Absolutely amazing wings! Can’t wait to be back in the area!”
