“Beautiful Inn, Everything was ready, clean able to check in early enjoyed a nice bottle of their wine that they provided close to everything! Walking distance to the Marblehead lighthouse to local establishments for breakfast or for a few cocktails and fun that there is a winery and coffee shop right downstairs! Definitely will come back and stay again!!”

“Family owned! By far the best pizza we have had in a long time! Delivery was fast and friendly! We orderd a pepperoni bacon,and banana peppers, pizza, when I tell you it was HOT, CHEESEY, FULL OF TOPPINGS..and PERFECTLY baked to perfection!!”

“We live in Cincinnati and come here occasionally when visiting family. It’s so good! I always love their soups and their salads are awesome. The Honey Maple salad dressing is sooooo good! We’ve never had a bad meal or bad service here. Their muffins are delicious too! I will say…I wish their fries were thinner. They are very thick. Almost like steak fries. Which we aren’t fans of. But, we still eat them. ? I attached a pic of their Berardi’s salad… I substituted candied pecans for the almonds and didn’t get the cheese. I added grilled chicken! YUM. ? (that honey maple dressing is divine)”

“I was surprised by the cafeteria style metal line railings. And that the line was longer than their line guides. The staff actually moved people really quickly! Our ice cream was delicious. The unicorn dream flavor reminded of those pink and white circus cookies with the sprinkles on them. My 12 year loved the Lake Erie island cookie monster. My 8 year old like the multi-colored vanilla. I can't remember the name, but it did have the word super in it.”

“Great place to gather with friends. Atmosphere is cosmopolitan yet warm and friendly. Busy with good live music yet calm enough to carry on quite serious conversations. I hosted 12 men who are not all easy to please. (Some might be called grumpy!) They were pleased that evening!”

“Durond was an absolute pleasure. It's very rare that you go out to eat and me such a lively and exuberant personality in a workplace. The zucchini fries were phenomenal and as to be expected their pizzas were phenomenal as well. Everything was very reasonably priced and the beer selection was also astounding. All around five stars across the board. Truly the service made the experience to tier though!”

“We tried this local pizza joint while staying at the Great Wolf Lodge. Ordered online & picked up within 20 minutes. The pizza & cheesebread were both delicious! Pizzas were large & a delicious thin crust!! We will definitely be back when in the area & would recommend as a great pizza carry out option!! A great change up from all the classic chain pizza places that we are used to!”

“Great food! Was worried about the somewhat empty lot, but it was early on a Wednesday. You wouldn't expect this good of bbq in Ohio. It's on the lake, plenty of space inside, with a very woodsy interior and great beer selection.”

“So the soup was fantastic!, but the smoothie was disgusting. They use Nescafé milk powder in it, and the mango is something called 'mango jam'. It was so bad, and they insisted everyone loves them. Yeah right. Also, they serve tea by the cup. Every Japanese or Chinese restaurant I have ever been to provides a pot to the table. Thanks, but no way.”

“I've been going to the Pump for years. It is my go to for lunch or dinner on the island. The staff is friendly and the food is very good. Also one of the few, if not the only, restaurant/bar on the island with a pool table, so it is a great place as a night spot too. Try the fish tacos. They're the best! And don't forget their special hot sauce for the tacos and the fries.”

“What an awesome place this is! We first went in July 2023 (perfectly en route from Chicago to NE Ohio) not really sure what to expect. First off, the food was incredible. We got the pho and seaweed salad. Both were phocking pho-nom-nom-nom-inal. The beer was just as good. The selection from IPAs to sours...all fantastic. The IPAs rival Treehouse, no joke.We came back end of January 2024. This time super pumped with high expectations. The website and social media said nothing about the brewery and restaurant being closed, so when we arrived and were told they were closed, we were super bummed. The owner could tell how disappointed we were and treated us to lots of beers (cans and draft...all awesome and on the house) and even ordered us some food. It was such an awesome experience and was so much fun. We stayed for multiple hours and hung out with the owner and his buddy. The only bummer was that we didn't get any of the pho or seaweed salad. I sure hope to be able to come back one day!”

“4/7/24 about 8pm. We showed up late but the staff was super nice. All of our food was very good. Thank you for making us feel like we were important even though we showed up near closing. Also the best wedge salad I've ever had.”

“Excellent dining experience. Service en pointe/friendly/little to no wait for anything. Clean, comfortable. One thing kept me from total 5 star rating.....the side of sausage gravy I got was generous in portion, tasted so good but was cold. Not slightly warm unfortunately but cold. Ate some anyway but took most home to heat up later. Will be back. Thank you!”

“The Island Grind is such a unique addition to Middle Bass. It's located right off the Miller dock behind the historic Lonz Winery which gives you the perfect first, or last, stop when you're visiting the island! I always get a frozen chai and it's unlike anything I've ever had from any cafe. They also have a prohibition bar around the side and it looks straight out of the 1920s and the drinks are delicious. I've gone to both places several times this season. The owner Jane is also absolutely amazing. She puts so much attention and care into her craft and her connection to customers. I'm looking forward to coming back next season!”
