“When planning a small birthday celebration for our daughter the first thought of food that crossed our mind was Great Lakes Grinders. We contacted them and easily selected a tray of our favorite grinders along with our favorite pasta salad and potato salad. The day we picked everything up was a breeze! The excitement to be able to eat a tray of grinders and sides in February was over the top! Every bite was amazing! Out of town friends experienced their first taste of Great Lakes Grinders and shared their appreciation for the deliciousness! There’s nothing quite as satisfying as a grinder!”

“First time being here with my family. It was a rainy and cold day and Ramen sounded delicious. The server was very kind and I ordered the Shouya Ramen. About 5 minutes and it arrived and it looked absolutely delicious. First impression very happy looked clean and very beautiful. The broth was unreal, very flavorful and rich taste with the Soy and Ginger taste. This food was incredible well made and made with love. “I had lunch at the Goat today and not only was the food and service excellent, but the owner went out of his way to make sure our day trip ended on a high note. My bike got a flat tire and he insisted on hauling my bike and myself to the ferry. This 70 year old greatly appreciated his kindness and you can be sure we will support the Goat every time we visit the island.”

They’re always happy to adjust things to your tastes, and as someone with a gluten allergy, it means a lot that they genuinely take it seriously and go out of their way to make sure I’m taken care of. My fiancé Chad and I also love browsing the beautiful antiques, upcycled items, and plants. It makes every visit feel like a little experience beyond just stopping in. Over time, the staff have become friends, and we’ve even met new friends along the way while spending time there. It’s also one of our favorite places to bring people who are visiting or to introduce friends to, because we know they’ll love it as much as we do. We also love their trivia nights on Thursdays. It’s always a fun reason to come back and spend time there. Patina Porch is one of those rare places that feels both special and comfortable at the same time, and we’re always happy to come back.”
