“We had lunch this afternoon at the Tin Goose Diner, first time visiting it came highly recommended from my friend Jeff Rahla. We both had smash burgers with iced tea. Our food was very good came out hot. It was a huge bonus getting to watch all the aircraft takeoff and land just outside the diner. The cleanliness of the restaurant was very impressive. Absolutely spotless. Our server, Jacob was very friendly and provided us great service .”

The pizza and cheese bread was demolished so fast as I expected lol The salad was exactly what I wanted for a post-Christmas crunch, and the wings my husband nearly inhaled so I can’t review those personally lol but I will next time! Lightly breaded and not greasy like the famous one next door. we choose this place all day long over the J Rogers one. Wait staff was so exceptional. A wonderful experience all around. “You know I had written this place off because the several times I went in the bartender I think Julie was her name. Long dark hair skinny girl. The drinks she made me were absolutely horrible! I understand she no longer works there because she had been cheating on her husband and her boyfriend or whatever was coming in and causing problems with customers. Anyways I went back in a couple weeks ago to hear miss kitty and the bartenders there made really great cocktails! Obviously that bartender was the problem.”

“My husband ordered the Lake Erie perch sandwich and swears it was some other fish. Size of the filet was much larger than a Lake Erie perch. After reading other reviews, we see that there were complaints about this issue recently. The menu says “Lake Erie perch sandwich”. Nothing about an up charge for Lake Erie perch.”

“Looks like this is the spot in Port Clinton. Did a trip to PIB and came back on the last ferry and stayed at a hotel in downtown. This place was great- the tap wall is something I’d never seen before, it allows you to start a tab at the bar and be gave a card by the bartender. You take that card to the tap wall and press it up to the tap of your choice and pour your own drink whenever you want it. It’s not just beers either- specialty cocktails are on TAP and they’re strong. 3 pool tables, darts, arcade games- good music blasting. Definitely will be planning a trip up there again soon!”

The Mac pizza was a hit with the kids, the New York white was a little more “adult” but my husband and I both agreed that the Mac n cheese pizza was probably the best pizza we’ve ever had. “Saw the sign for Big Boy from the highway and did a hard exit to see if it was the tastes I remember from childhood. I had a great experience. Water front dining at casual food prices. The server was wonderful (?Anton?). The restaurant, parking lot, and bathroom were all clean. My coffee cup stayed full and hot and the hot fudge ice cream cake was delicious and loaded with warm, smooth fudge; it indeed brought back childhood memories. I will go back if I'm in the area again. I would only ask that the outside windows be cleaned to have an even better water view.”
