“had a great time at this little local bar. Everybody was nice happen to be there on a Thursday night when they had left right center game had so much fun and met so many nice people will definitely recommend this spot to anybody who just wants to come in and have a great time and meet great people.“
“Ordered last night via Doordash. Loved it. Again. Not sure if the giant joint I smoked an hour beforehand had something to do with it, but super tasty. I loved that lake erie monster pizza and the pretzel came super soft and delicious. I also had these pepperoni things that were really simple but done extremely well. A little pricey? Nah, that's on me. I tipped the driver 15 bucks. Not sure if it's worth it, but I wanted to make someone's day special. I hope it worked. The food certainly made it a nice evening home, relaxing after a long week at work. Thanks guys. ?“
“While in Marblehead for a couple nights we happened upon this local dive bar. And I say that will all due respect, that’s my kind of bar. The area has plenty of pretentious “tiki” bars for the tourists, this is clearly where the locals go for good food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere. We returned for a second night and I was impressed that Liz (our bartender both nights) remember us and what we were drinking. We felt like locals. And Brian did not disappoint when it came to the wings! Absolutely amazing wings! Can’t wait to be back in the area!“
“This place has it all. Great drinks, good people, and tasty food trucks. I stop here every time I'm in town and recommend it to anyone traveling to Sandusky. This place is a guaranteed good time.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, there's a ramp to get in“
“Great place to gather with friends. Atmosphere is cosmopolitan yet warm and friendly. Busy with good live music yet calm enough to carry on quite serious conversations. I hosted 12 men who are not all easy to please. (Some might be called grumpy!) They were pleased that evening!“
“We stopped into the Island House Restaurant for lunch. The restaurant was interesting, good and bad. My wife's chicken sandwich was good. The french fries served with it were cooked in oil that was too cool and tasted oily. The slaw was excellent. My Mediterranean platter was supposed to have toasted pita bread, not toasted, and a little soggy. Everything else was great. The service was ok we had a multitude of people waiting on us. I would probably return if I return to Kelly's Island.“
“Tends to be pretty busy but you can get a LOT of food here. We got the Homer (sandwich) which is MASSIVE and the Kamehameha pizza. Took about 30 ish minutes to arrive. The live music is fun. They play games occasionally with the audience (i.e. Phil Collins vs Genesis etc)Also a decent place to watch the fireworks during Island Fest etcWheelchair accessibility: Bar is Wheelchair accessible“
“We sat in the bar and Darryl the Bartender was so sweet and the best Bartender ever!! He made us his special Black Walnut Old Fashioned! It was amazing! Please come here and enjoy the kindest employees and the best drinks and food! You will have the best time ever I promise! ❤️“
“Update: second visit to this fantastic little spot. Jonah is a great bartender and you can taste the care and experience he brings to the cocktails. Volstead never disappoints! This place is amazing. Great cocktails, excellent vibe and atmosphere. Best drinks in Sandusky!“
“Very clean place, and very friendly staff and patrons there.me and my wife had the special Pork and sauerkraut on New Years day. Very good.and reasonable price.if in the area its a must to stop in and eatWill definitely be back if we're in the area.“
“I rarely write reviews, but this is the best hole in the wall in town. Never had a bad experience here, and I go here often. Every bartender makes you leave with a smile, and happy. Robbin is an absolute blessing, owners always around, and is friendly enough. Making sure the scene stays safe. The prices are unreal, you can drink a beer for $1.75/$2.25. You can get a whole wrap for $7. I have different events including a Halloween, raffles, paint and sips. It's a great place, outside patio to! Every Tuesday Tacos, Wednesday $3 burger day, always something going on. There's also some little slots if you're into that kind of thing, and Keno.Kid-friendliness: It's a family friendly place, you could probably eat with kids here.“
“Great little menu. I had chicken salad sandwich and chips and it made me crave chicken salad the whole week. The atmosphere is super cute and open. I love the drink specials and use of herbs from their very own garden. One of the owners offered for me to take any of the fresh cut sunflowers from around the resturant. Super cool and cute. Loved it all. Next time I will go back when they have live music.“
“Jimmy's is the real Sandusky just blue collar working Class bar.Its private but they will let you in and the pool table is free all day.The drinks are cheap and the food is hot and tasty. If you want to see the real Sandusky give Jimmy's a shot“
“Just a local bar with great food and a great atmosphere... We crashed a party that they were having for the regular crowd but we were still welcome to eat and drink. Wife had the Billy Mac ham and cheese and loved it. It was so big we could have split it. Owner and staff were super friendly.“
“When we arrived at 9:45, they were only operating the fryers and pizza oven. We got chicken tenders with fries and a “lickin chicken” pizza. It did not disappoint! Hot and delicious. The bartender was great and very attentive. It was our first time here and we will be back. Great atmosphere too.“
“If you’re looking for a really good breakfast that is not expensive, the Cold Creek Cafe is a good choice! This was my first visit and my wife and I have decided to make it a Saturday morning routine. Try the steak and eggs with trash potatoes. Don’t forget to add peppers and onions with cheese on top. The coffee is good! Much better than most other breakfast cafes. The two of us had a large breakfast that cost us $23. Very well done!“
“We stopped in on a whim while staying at the Hotel Kilbourne and this has become our "must stop" when in town. Millie was amazing and had our drinks and food to our table as fast as she could. She was very attentive and kept the whole place flowing. The food was so good and hit the spot just right. Thanks for having us!“
“A local bar that serves a menu of bar food such as burgers and chicken sandwiches. I had chicken tenders, which were big and moist. The Sail In is in a neighborhood and many of the customers when we were there knew each other. The one employee was bartender and cook, but she was fast and efficient.“
“Always a great time! The staff is always super friendly and makes sure you feel welcomed! The patio is amazing in the summer time especially when the fire pit is on and running! Food always comes out hot and is amazing especially for the price! Awesome date night or family place to eat!“
“My sister and I were recently in Sandusky where we were car shopping down the street at Firelands Honda. (See my 5-star review of that car-buying experience.) While my newly purchased used car was being detailed and filled with gas, we decided to grab lunch at DeMore's Offshore Bar & Grill. For an appetizer, we both ordered a bowl of lobster bisque. Each bowl contained several nickel-sized hunks of lobster meat! Wow! Hadn't expected that. My sister also ordered a lake perch sandwich featuring a half pound of perch lightly breaded and I ordered a lake perch taco that was attractively served open-face on a soft tortilla. Both were dee-lish! Our server was friendly and efficient. There was no wait to be seated or served. (BTW, on our way out of the parking lot, we noticed a drive-through menu display with a microphone and a drive-through window. Someone was picking up an order.)“
“A hidden gem in downtown Sandusky! We tried the Mediterranean flat bread and came back to try the stone dinners that include a great salad bar. There’s no other place near Sandusky that serves stone dinners. It was amazing and such a fun experience! Everything we’ve tried from the lattes to the dinners has made us want to return for more, and we will!We loved the small market that sells locally made foods and items made by local artists.“
“We arrived here on a cold, wet and out of season Monday evening and were made to feel wlcome. We ate well, drank well and left having met some nice local people, without feeling out of pocket. Thank you to our bartender Alexa and her fella Troy for the company. It's a shame that we couldn't linger longer. May you always be content.“
“Very rare to find good service these days, but of all restaurants I have been to we all agreed this was a fantastic experience. All of the staff were awesome! We had a larger party of 10 for a birthday brunch and our waitress Felicia was hands down the most fun and attentive waitress I can say we have had in many years. The food was excellent and portions were well above average. Will absolutely return and recommend to anyone going to the Sandusky area.“
“This place is a hidden gem! So glad we found this place. Great bartenders and the cook was awesome. Kris knows how to cook and make them wings!! If you're out of town this is the place for wings and great bar food. The burger was great too. Will be back!“
“We stopped here for a quick snack and we're very much surprised. We got the bavarian pretzels and bratwurst, and they were delicious. there is outside seating and the chocolate cafe is inside. the wait for 5 pretzels was reasonable, and we will definitely be returning to the biergarten.“
“Great local bar! Astrid, our bartender, . was very attentive. And had the lucky hands....she pulled out 2 big wins for my wife on the "cardboard crack" pull tabs! Music was loud, but not deafening. They have a great selection of adult beverages, and Astrid even introduced us to salted watermelon liquor, which was surprisingly delicious. We live in Amherst, but look forward to returning soon for the great service and friendly atmosphere!“
“Looking for your local bar in Sandusky where everyone knows your name? I encourage you to check out Bedrock Tavern. Fun Flintstone-themed bar with very friendly staff, good selection of beer and canned drinks (like High Moon, Twisted Tea, etc).Staff likes to remember your drink & your name. Trivia nights & karaoke nights add to a fun atmosphere.I have the Bedrock Fries-otherwise known as chili cheese fries. Fries were crispy, chili tasty, and cheese was like nacho cheese. Very tasty.“
“Delicious food, a great wine and cocktail selection and a beautiful atmosphere! The Canoe Club is one of our absolute favorites and a must stop if you are in the area! We ate there last night and we were waited on by Ally, who was one of the best servers we have had! Thank you Canoe Club for always being a fantastic dining experience!“
