“Patina Porch has become one of our absolute favorite places. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is airy, welcoming, and full of charm. The staff are just as warm as the space itself. They’re always happy to adjust things to your tastes, and as someone with a gluten allergy, it means a lot that they genuinely take it seriously and go out of their way to make sure I’m taken care of. My fiancé Chad and I also love browsing the beautiful antiques, upcycled items, and plants. It makes every visit feel like a little experience beyond just stopping in. Over time, the staff have become friends, and we’ve even met new friends along the way while spending time there. It’s also one of our favorite places to bring people who are visiting or to introduce friends to, because we know they’ll love it as much as we do. We also love their trivia nights on Thursdays. It’s always a fun reason to come back and spend time there. Patina Porch is one of those rare places that feels both special and comfortable at the same time, and we’re always happy to come back.“

“My daughter and I came in this afternoon after volunteering for the iron man we were starving… we sat at another downtown restaurant for over 20 minutes being completely ignored while everyone around us was being served so we ended up leaving and coming here… we sat outside a women greeted us at the door apologized and said there was only one server outside so it might be a minute.. which was amazing considering the last place we were at. We had a guy server can’t remember his name but he was great.. even though we did wait for a minute it was okay because we were acknowledged and not ignored. Server was super friendly and nice the food was DELICIOUS! 10/10 experience, we will definitely be back!“

“They were having a burgers on the patio Wednesday which was kind of like a cook out. It was nice but just a little confusing as to where to pay and you had to get in a different line if you wanted to get anything other than a burger but I would do it again. Good music, nice“

“Came in after a long day of rollercoaster riding at cedar point and enjoyed drink or two on the dancefloor with awesome mixes from our dj who's birthday it was!!!alphademik. Walked right from our cedar point express hotel and felt very safe, the whole tiki theme inside is super fun and the lights on the dance floor got us dancing in no time! There was a five dollar cover at the door, super reasonable for the fun inside. We cannot wait to come back to this bar again with more friends to party! 🎉“

“This was one of our best experiences at The Breakers because of Santiago and his twin brother Gabriel. These two gracious gentlemen provided absolutely delightful service during our stay on the beach. In a world where it seems that people have forgotten how to be kind to each other, these two are joyful reminder of how we all should treat each other. The Breakers is very lucky to be represented by these two.

“We enjoyed a family dinner this past November at Twisted 3. Tracy was very sweet to help me to plan my event in their Side Room. My party of 20 enjoyed a great variety of well-made delicious food choices! Our little kids enjoyed the extra space to run around with their ‘extra energy.’ What a fine restaurant this most certainly is!!!“

“We had a great experience at Small City Taphouse in Sandusky! Everything we tried was delicious — especially the sushi rolls and soup. We also really enjoyed the locally brewed IPA.

The service was fast, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating and has a convenient location right in downtown Sandusky.

Prices are reasonable, and street parking is available nearby.

“The staff was super friendly! One of the bartenders helped me sample a cider on draft that was seasonal. Some kind of brown sugar donuts or something? It was SO GOOD! I bought one and loved it. I would love to know the exact name and company for the fall cider!“

“This is a fun hometown bar. I arrived around opening and it was fun observing the regulars coming into the lounge. The bartender knew them by name, and they’d clearly shared dozens of stories together over years. It was very wholesome and gives a real vibe of being welcome and accepted. It reminded me of Cheers but in the Midwest.

There are a few TVs with usual sports and other programs to view while sipping your drink or eating some well-made food. The selections are pretty varied with a few taps and a fridge full of bottled consumables.

This is the type of place that you want to hang around in for hours. There are some bars and lounges that are skeevy or shady or just give off a bad aura. But Excuses Lounge is definitely a place where you’ll meet new friends and create lasting memories with old friends and family.“

“We visited last week while renting a condo about a block from Tony's for a week. We found this place by accident, just strolling thru town. Our son wanted wings and it was the first place with a menu our family of 4 could all agree upon. We came in from the back and up the patio to enter and weren't sure what to put expect. We were impressed with the interior and that it was the first restaurant (4th overall in Sandusky on our trip) with an adequate cooling system. We were all impressed with our choices. My husband had the Greek cheesesteak and loved it. I couldn't decide between the mac & cheese hot dog or the French Dip. Our server JP a suggested the French Dip and I have to say it is one of the best I've ever had. I think their seasoned mayo is what makes their sandwiches! The daughter and I both got the mac and cheese. She said it was the best mac & cheese she's ever had and she's never impressed. If we are ever back in Sandusky, we're definitely coming back!“

“JaxBar has the perfect atmosphere if you’re looking for a quaint local experience. The bar itself is small in size making it easy to be a part of the conversation. Although it’s small it contains plenty of character and characters. Proper drinks from friendly bartenders surrounded by plenty of locals that seemed to become your friends as soon as you walk in. Jax is always doing something to help their local community as well. Another great reason to visit.“

“Our server Hassan was exceptional- he was extremely attentive and kept us informed at all times about the status of the order. Even though the kitchen was backed up he made sure that we were taken care of with drinks and extra bread. It was a busy holiday but we had a great meal. Food was great too.“
