“Love the Captain's Club. Nice little pub with good music, great drinks, and even greater people! The owners are super nice and great to converse with on a not-so-busy night. Very nice, lit patio with cornhole (if that's your thing) where you can take your drinks and smoke (if that's your thing). They have a great selection of beer and liquor and always try to keep up with the latest drink trends.“
“Went like 2 Saturdays ago I believe and it was nothing but guys that wanted to get into fights with each other. Not a very nice place to take your fiance to for a drink. The bar was dirty and needs updated, we stayed for half a drink and went back to ziggys.“
“Easily one of the best cocktail bars in Ohio. I highly recommend this even over cocktail bars in Cleveland and Columbus. The price and the tastes of the drinks are absolutely incredible. This cocktail bar will always be a reason to go to Lorain.“
“We started with chips and salsa and asked for a spicier salsa. They brought one out that had a smoky flavor and was fairly spicy. Holy cow... hands down the best salsa we have ever had! We ordered more to take home. The service was awesome, they kept an eye on us and refilled drinks when needed. The food came quickly and was delicious. I live over an hour away and plan on coming back just to eat there!“
“Couldn’t recommend this restaurant more! I think every employee came up to us throughout our dinner to greet us, ask if we needed anything, cleared plates, filled our cups, etc. Also, our server was very knowledgeable about what was and was not gluten free on their menu. Their gluten free bun for the burger is fantastic! Such a great atmosphere as well. Can’t wait to be back.“
“My family and I were there for the soler eclipse, weekend. We walked in sat down at the bar, everyone was extremely friendly, kind, nice, polite, warm and welcoming. We had just come from another bar around the corner called SPEAK OF THE DEVIL they were rude unwelcoming talked about us eclipse people like really what are they doing here. Never went back there again. Back to Brass & Bronze we had the tacos the 1st night amazing. We went back the second night the kitchen had just closed so we had a drink then one of the owners came over and said I know how to make pizza I can make you pizza. So that is what we had for our 2nd night s dinner. We went back the next day for the eclipse for lunch about 1 again amazing. We meet the President of the city Council Joel Arredondo and his wife they sat outside with us and watched the eclipse. Again very welcoming, they had their daughter’s wedding at this restaurant. I recommend this place extremely high. We had the best weekend in a long time“
“This was our first time here with friends who invited us out for the Friday fish fry. Smaller place, very busy, but the staff was on top of it and we had great service, a great time, and the food was fantastic! Lake Erie perch and walleye bites were spot-on. Will definitely stop again whenever in the area.Parking: Parking on street or lot in back.“
“Amazing southern food on the late night menu! The greens are just like I'm used to in South Carolina! The Owner is not only beautiful but nice as well! She made sure we had everything we needed while we were there for the comedy show! Definitely recommend!“
“It’s always a good time in here! Friendly service good bar food ! Play some tunes on the juke box! We never leave unhappy. I like to drink all different stuff bartenders are always happy to play what are you drinking tonight? They accommodate with a smile! Come check out Basils! It’s definitely a hidden gem!“
“This is a neat little place. We've been here once before on a lazy day and had a few apps and a libation. It has taken us too long to get back considering we only live a mile away. Today we went for the Bloody Mary bar. I liked how they did this...fill out your card and the drink is made to order - perfectly made and spicy; just how I like it.They were busy. The Browns were on TV and we were hoping to see the game. Unfortunately the one table without a view was the only table available. Guess what? As soon as another table opened up, the server asked us if we wanted to move. She did this without us saying anything. How awesome was that? Our food was tasty. Great burger. I didn't care for the sweet potato fries as they were a bit soggy, but that was my choice. I could have ordered regular fries. The pretzel was great, too.We will definitely be back and encourage others to stop by to have a drink, food, and nice times.“
“Great hole in the wall bar where there are usuals rather than random patrons. If you're looking for a place to become a regular at then this is the place. They have one pool table and darts. Food is coming soon as the city approves. They didn't have my liquor of choice but they did have three kinds or Crown so I settled but the more I go and become a regular then they said they would definitely stick my drink. Friendly crowd, very welcoming and open to conversation. Simply put, I had a great time with my brother and felt right at home.“
“This is the best place in town to check out, the bar tender ASHLEY is the ?, me and my coworkers met her at a lil lunch spot, she invited us to her job and we pulled up later on that day and once we went in the folks in the building made our welcome feel like we all known one another for a long time..... Oh yeah pool shooters be ready to play #MIKE & his woman ?..... Thanks Ohio for the great time..“
“Heard about this place. Kept driving by a billboard with some amazing looking tacos on it.We finally went to Brickyard Bar & Grill. The atmosphere was very nice. Bar and tables on one side. Just tables on another side. The bar side was a bit noisy. The other area was better. So it depends on what you are looking for. Our waiter was amazing! Now, let's talk about the food!!I found out that the tacos on the billboard were the 3 Brisket tacos. Omg! They were phenomenal. Seriously, the brisket melted in your mouth. Had sweet onion, feta cheese, and a slaw mix that was to die for. This was my first time there. We will definitely be back. It was great to find this gem of a place so close by. Where the food is actually homemade and not just warmed up from Sam's club like other places in the are south. LolAbsolutely a must visit if you are near Oberlin. Brickyard Bard & Grill, see you soon!A.K.“
“My first time at this bar and I had a blast..prices were on par, food wasn't bad, service was excellent (Thank you Birdie!)...No trouble makers were present besides myself ;) Could use a bigger TV to watch the game on but I would go back here for sure.“
“I couldn't check in last night, which was okay in my book. Then, I realized I couldn't keep this place a secret any more. I have been here more times than I can count. I've seen it empty with just a few people at the bar and jam packed, standing room only. Either way, I'll always like it and always go back! Mangine's isn't fancy, but it's homey and I feel comfortable going there for a beer. About the fanciest they get with beer is Angry Orchard, which I don't drink; but if you want to go somewhere to enjoy conversation and a couple of beers; this is your place. It has a lot of history and you can feel it once you're inside because of the black and white photos you'll see behind behind the bar. There's a pool table and a great juke box. Patrons and bartenders are friendly yet keep to themselves and if there is more than three people there, the 4th person knows someone else. I like that! PS: No website that i know of , but they are on Facebook! Divey, but clean.“
“This is the place to be!! All time favorite, remodeled cheap prices. It is everything that needs to be for a modern bar. I love the karaoke nights and trivia, it is done in a way that creates a unique sociable vibe. Im so pleased and confident to recommend this hang out spot!“
