Absolutely loved everything about this place. The tacos were some of the best I ever had and our server was awesome. Only complaint would be we ordered a specialty drink&did not like it&weren't offered a refund or $ off bill. Other than that it was amazing&will be back again!

Went to Barrio last night with a friend. We got 5 tacos total, a guacamole app, and a pitcher of margaritas. I was shocked that our bill before tip was over $115! Perhaps we should have inquired about pricing for the pitcher of margaritas (that served 4 glasses) but I never expected it to cost $68! There was also some $3 service fee added on. I haven’t been to Barrio Lakewood in a while and was surprised that is was not busy at all… but with prices like this on their drinks, I can definitely understand why! I won’t be going back to Barrio again with these prices and added charges!

I used to live right around the corner from barrio and would order maybe once a week, they were always so good! I now live a long distance away but finally decided to make the drive to do a pick up order. I ordered 2 stoner tacos with shrimp, queso fresco, caramelized onions and poblano peppers, corn salsa, Chimichurri sauce, and cilantro lime aioli. I made the long drive back home only to discover the only thing on my both of my tacos was some chorizo and a few pieces of shrimp. The only reason I’m leaving 3 stars is because the host (possibly Megan) was so empathetic to my concern and the manager (maybe Shawn) took care of the matter appropriately. As for whoever made tacos…0 stars.

Their tacos were really good, my favorite was the chicken, but they have a build your own tacos which is cool and ones that are already customized that you can choose from. I also liked the soft shells better than the hard, the hard kept breaking so much it was hard to eat. For me 3 tacos was plenty. Their Margaritas were delicious. It's hard to find a really good margarita that the ratio is on point it was fantastic and they nailed it.

The cooks do not wash their hands before making your food!!!!!
Cold tortillas and the cola stream I had was very chewy. Rice is mid.
I used to be an avid multi week Barrio goer. Now I’m not. I feel like barrio has just turned into a money grab. All they seem to be doing is raising the price again and again and now they charge you for more than two sauce. I feel like the whole reason I’m comfortable paying over 4$ for 1 taco is bc it includes the extras. Portions have gotten increasingly small. Easily half of what it was two years ago. Server added on charges for things we didn’t even order. When we asked her to fix it , she still left $3 of add ons on to our bill that we did not order or get food for.

First, the place was so loud yet only half full. Not only were the patrons loud but they had gigantic fans that were loud and blowing things everywhere. The guacamole was very salty and my order was messed up so it was overly spicy. I got the skinny margarita and it tasted like water with a splash of lime. The best tasting thing of the whole meal was the rice.

Barrio used to be a fun place to go for a vegan taco. The experience has only continued going downhill for the past 5 years. Our tacos were lukewarm as if served from an old-school lunchroom prep-space. The vegan chorizo was not cooked and sliced like it was sad meatloaf. I had pan seared portobello mushrooms that I was unable to chew through. Cilantro-lime rice is listed as a “protein” and adds an up-charge to each taco which is not listed in fine print. The soft corn tortillas were not heated up on a skillet which caused the tortilla to split before it go to our table. We had to ask another server for flatware bc ours was MIA and we were given thin, plastic sporks. The food was slimy and awful. A terrible food experience. Margaritas were fine. Half the beer draft lines were empty and covered with cups (printed tap menu showed it’s just the new thing to not stock the draft lines), the visible beer/drink cooler to the right of the bar was 95% empty. We lunched with limited patrons on a nice Sunday afternoon (place used to be busy at this time). It took 20 minutes to get our last drinks delivered to our table (both canned products) and the canned Modelo was served with a sad lime slice resting on top of the can. When we thought Barrio couldn’t get any worse, it did. Never again. (We have been patrons at this location for 15 years in Lakewood. Sad we have lost a reliable vegan option for lunch out).
