“Nothing fancy, but a nice local place w good food. Plenty of tables w a large bar. Fish fry was loved by our whole table. The owner stopped by our table and was extremely friendly and interested to hear our opinions on the dinners. We'll definitely be back to try other items on the menu.“
“We had visited the location in Van Aken but this is closer to home and we had been wanting to go for awhile. I am so happy that we did! We sat in front near the bar thankfully since it seemed a little quieter there than the back. Although the atmosphere was comfortable regardless. Our server was friendly and helped us make some great choices on food and cocktails. We shared the Banter salad, Cleveland sausage and when pigs fly poutine. That salad is delicious and I am pretty sure I keep craving it. Both the sausage and poutine were delicious and flavorful as well. I know we had desert and very interesting aperitif but I can't seem to find pictures or menu listings for what we had! But it was all delicious. Can't wait to visit again and try new things.“
“First off, it’s prudent to offer condolences to George on the passing of your wife. This news saddens all of us as loyal customers. That said, when you call a place a family restaurant, it usually simply means it’s owned and run independently by a family. Definitely the case here. In addition to that, we have become friends with many of the staff who work there. I cannot speak highly enough. The menu has tons of options. Everything is good, GREAT actually. My favorite dish is the Geotge’s Pasta Plate, rigatoni pasta with stir fry vegetables with either a tomato or white sauce (apparently not everyone’s favorite, but I love it).Parking: Parking can be a little tight during lunch peak. There is street parking and a public park on Trisket right next door/behind where the dumpsters are.“
“A great little bar, not a dive at all, with pretty damn good food.Has a really nice bar/patio setup, with an enclosure for the winter that is heated.Karaoke on Thursdays, seasonal lent specials on weds/fridays, and fall clam bakes.John, the owner is a laid back, nice guy, the bartenders are all attentive and polite. A big shout out to Erika and Tina- two phenomenal bartenders. The crowd is very blue collar, the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. Pretty much anyone will talk about anything.Overall, this is pretty much the ideal bar- whether you’re just looking for a bite to eat, a beer to sip or wanna blow off steam and have a session.Don’t act the fool, and you’ll have a great time!“
“The workers were oddly, strict ... maybe not the right way to phrase it, but I was one of 3 people in line and they told me they were too busy to cut a sandwich in half for my daughters. Then stood around talking with each other. I used their knife after they walked away. Good food otherwise.“
“This Bob Evans Location is one of the best, in my opinion. The severs were fast and pleasant, the food was ready fairly quick, and everything was clean. I can't express my displeasure in going out to eat and sitting at a table that's dirty or halfway clean. Luckily, this place takes pride in their work.I rarely get to see my family anymore, so occasionally, we meet up for breakfast or lunch and sit and talk for a few. The severs and bus staff were extremely kind and cleared away the plates and continued to give us coffee as we enjoyed our conversation. I've been to places where you can feel they want you out the door after eating. It's just a good experience going out to eat at a place that has a welcoming environment.“
“The fried chicken was delicious. Our poor waitress did not have anyone helping her in her section. I don't know if someone called off or what. She did provide very good service under the circumstances. Also, when we arrived, it took a while for someone to seat my wife and I, even though we were the only ones in line.“
“I'm not able to eat it myself due to dietary restrictions. However, I was told that the food was very good. It was easy to order a catering order for 10 through the website, only one hour ahead of time! The staff was friendly and helpful, the price was very reasonable, and the food was fresh and hot!“
“I had taken my grandmother there for a birthday brunch. Our waitress, I believe her name was Samantha, was excellent. Even when my grandmother got a little cranky she still acted in a professional manner and for some reason apologized to me. There was no need. I apologized on my end and she understood. I would definitely ask for her to be my server again. Her service was acceptional.“
“My only concern is if you make reservations six hours before your arrival time, your table should be ready when you arrive. But, overall, we had a waitress, who customer service skills were over the top. Rochelle was her name, and she was excellent! And showed the patience of Job with us. And that to me was much appreciated because so many times you go, they are understaffed, trying to do to many tables, and their patience is not very long, but with her, and I believe you were understaffed, she still showed expert courtesy!“
“It was my first time having melt, and it was great! The portions are large, a lot of flavor in it. The only imperfection to me is the restaurant is a bit too dark and it was hard for me to read the menu. All in all it's till 5 stars no “
