It's never a breeze going out to dinner with a 5 and a 3 year old but the whole staff at El Carnicero did an amazing job and made sure the experience was smooth sailing from the start! The guacamole was delicious and fresh and they made sure there was never a shortage of chips for both the guacamole and the girls. The Floutas and the Barbacoa were both indescribable outside the word delightful. We finished with the fried ice cream. I could go on and on about the food but the short and sweet of it is its on another level from any restaurants nearby. The most important part of the meal to highlight was the staff though. The server was very helpful and made sure the meal was timed perfectly for us and the kids. The supporting staff was very friendly and even gave us some tips on other restaurants they recommend in other areas of Cleveland. The hosts upfront were super friendly to the kids and left them with all smiles. No matter what aspect of a restaurant you care about, it's a guarantee El Carnicero will check that box and leave you with only one regret... that you didn't come here sooner!

First time here, but will not be the last. Loved the atmosphere, food was amazing, and the margaritas are sooo good! Was a first date so a lot more chatting - than ordering but the waiter was so great. Checked on us, but not pushy or trying to hurry us at all, which was appreciated. We both agreed the food was delicious and we'll definitely be back! The queso is the best I've had anywhere else in the area. We shared the blue corn enchiladas - which was so good! Highly recommend.

El Carnicero had the best fish fry in town! We live closer to their sister restaurant, Momocho, but will make the trek for the Latino fish fry during Lent.Only major complaint is that they do not take reservations, and if you go on the wait list, you have to stay at the restaurant because they don't text you, which is double unfortunate when there is no where to wait without being in someone's way, so that's why I only gave 4 stars for atmosphere.

My friend and I went here for dinner the other day. I thought the drinks were excellent. We ordered some margaritas and the flavors were delicious! The food was good as well. I ordered the Barbacoa which was really good. I’m not usually a fan of Brussels sprouts so I was shocked when I actually enjoyed the overall dish. I’d def recommend coming here!

Not enough stars to give this wonderful restaurant. The food was so tasty and their house made hot sauce was fantastic. We had a party of 6 and had the chance to try multiple different dishes that were all mouthwatering! Shelby was our main server who was amazing and we loved the team approach they used. You could also tell Eric’s leadership and energy drove this place to an extraordinary experience. You need to try this place and go back!!

Cool place. Really like the Shrimp flatbread dish and the flautas. Atmosphere on weekend nights is pretty busy with fairly hip crowd. On weeknights in the summer I like to eat at the bar and watch basketball or baseball. I’m a chocolate mousse junkie and the staff has always been cool about me just calling up and ordering the Chocobomba often right before the kitchen closes or has just closed.

For a Mexican restaurant, I don't think it's very Mexican. Food was bearable. The server didn't really know how to explain the dish that I was asking about. Ended up asking a different server and luckily he knew. Not sure I'll return. But everyone's taste is different. Fried ice cream and the different guacamoles were good though.
