This is the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted in my life. DO NOT ORDER! We took a few bites and called the store to ask if we could return the food and have our money back. The owner yelled at me and hung up the phone. We threw the food away. It was so dry, flavorless and salty that it was hard to even swallow. Do not waste your time or money here.

It was my all time favorite, unfortunately I will not be returning, I started using this restaurant when I moved from the west end to central Lakewood a few years ago at the advice of some friends who have been eating here 30 years or more, the food and service was great until today, I always buy here at least once a week and tip WELL, today however I ordered just 1 eggroll and i did not have cash only cards, they were not letting me take it even as I have generously tipped well and often much higher that standard rate, my old restaurant on the west end let me leave twice with large orders after I forgot my wallet and let me take food on trust as I always paid them, this place would not let me leave with one eggroll as a regular customer just for one hour, SORRY but I'm will never going back.

The people who run this place could not be kinder and friendlier. It makes me so sad to see the For Sale sign out front because it’s such a great place. Great people to support during the pandemic.

Ordered orange chicken and pepper steak lunch combination with extra beef and steamed dumping. They charged me over $25.00 they said lunch combo is $2 each and extra beef is $4.oo the sweet and sour sauce that they gave us was congealed and was not edible i had to boil the beef for over 21 hr before it was tender enough to eat

My favorite Chinese in Lakewood! The dinner options forafor 2-4 people are an amazing value for the price. We always have leftovers. ask for an upgrade on the wonton soup to the subgum wonton - fresh vegetables and additional meats. So good.

Beware! Family of 7. We used to love this restaurant for years. Now that it's for sale it has gone downhill. The last two huge order's needed to be trashed due to gross tasting items: The wonton soups that used to be the best were pure water broth and tasted horrible. The chips burnt. The crispy noodles stale and the entrees just not tasting "right" (spoiled)? We can't risk ordering here anymore. Too bad, we loved their food but something has happened. Beware! Dragon Towers from now on.

Don’t do it! Don’t know what happened, new cook? Last two take outs were trash! Had to throw the ordered’s away. Large orders for family of 7. Wonton soup pure water broth & tasted horrible. Trash. Entrees tasted “odd”. (Spoiled?) chips burnt. Crispy Noodles (stale). We couldn’t risk way this food in case of spoiled/sickness. Unbelievable for a restaurant that used to be delicious. Beware! Property is being sold, so I’m not sure what’s happening with the food. Beware. Dragon Towers from now on.

Golden Gate is my favorite Chinese food in Cleveland. It has been a staple of the community since my family moved here in the 80's. Our go-to growing up was Szechuan Garden. I believe ownership there has changed. I told my mom to try Golden Gate and she said it was the best she has had in years. I was scared that Golden Gate might close during the 2020 pandemic. We are all very fortunate that it did not. If you have a hankering for some delicious Chinese food, look no further than the big beautiful yellow sign by the Madison and Hilliard intersection! Simply the best! Better than all the rest!

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Not the best Chinese in Lakewood, not the worst either.

Golden Gate is my forever favorite Chinese restaurant. The fried rice and the egg rolls are the best I’ve ever had. (The fried rice is especially delicious with the gravy from the egg foo young which, I don’t know if they still let you order separately, but they did for many years....it can’t hurt to ask)Everywhere I’ve lived, I’ve tried to find a new place that lives up to Golden Gate, and so far no place has. Every visit back home includes a non-negotiable stop here for lunch or dinner

Excellent food. Egg rolls are the best in the state. Still cant dine in but takeout doesn't detract from this great food.

Our favorite little spot. Can't wait for the dining room to open again.

Well made food. You can tell that they put real effort into the quality. The hostess was very kind and sweet.

Best Chinese food in the country by far. The owner is the nicest lady and she will cook your dish with low sodium or however you want it and it is very fresh and the egg rolls, ribs and wonton soup are the definition of perfection.

This is easily my favorite "Americanized" Chinese restaurant on the west side. This is the place you go to for amazing egg rolls, BBQ ribs, wonton with big pieces of pork and greens, pepper steak, egg fu young, etc. This is not where I would suggest ordering more authentic and regional dishes- but it excels in old time Cantonese cuisine. The negative reviews I've seen typically come from people who want super cheap Governor Tso's chicken which you should probably instead get at one of the hundreds of strip mall fast food-type places with the identical menus. Golden Gate is not the same has the places in Asia Town that tend to specialize in the cooking of the other provinces, but it is way better and beyond than the run-of-the-mill spots. This place is comparable (but much better) than King Wah in Rocky River or Asian Wok in Westlake.
