I'm not a massive beer guy, but I do like immigrant son. Their beers are solid, staff is friendly and the burgers are delicious.

I’m not one to leave bad reviews. But I’ve been there a few times now and the food is just not good. The menu is all over the place. Nothing is ever seasoned. The burger buns aka the bread they use does not work well. I had oyster one time and the amount of sand left was insane.

The Hungarian Burger was honestly terrible — the only reason we ate it is because we were both starving. The buns they used were insanely greasy and could’ve doubled as an elephant ear with some powdered sugar. The fries were good but the burger was flavorless and became inedible as soon as I wasn’t starving.

We have been coming to Immigrant Son for years. Their food, beer, happy hour, brunch, music events and great staff keep us coming back. We just hosted a private party here for Sunday brunch for about 40 people. We were able to choose items to add to the menu and we chose a cash bar option for the guests. The food was abundant and delicious. We had a dedicated server who was attentive and managed the chaos of our group with ease. She even packed up boxes of leftovers for our guests to take home. It was a great experience from start to finish! Highly recommend!

I would give this place 4+ stars but the tiny hard metal chairs are a real bummer. How the hell do they expect customers to sit on them for more than a drink and dash? The onion soup was a little spicy, unexpected in onion soup. The Korean Chicken Fingers were Very Hot! Warn your customers upon ordering. But the beer was good to very good! Nice place and atmosphere.

The individuality of the menu was amaze balls! Quality local ingredients, flavor combinations that suit our palette, I highly recommend this place. From the happy hour menu through the desert menu our whole party was blown away. Why aren’t you here? If I didn’t live in LA I would be every week! 😜

They have a varied style selection of IPAs that are all good. The Cavitator Doppelbock was an unexpected surprise.
We had a poutines appetizer was really good.
Service was very friendly and good.

Food was good and waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. Points for having their own parking lot which is rare in Lakewood. Taking off stars because they charge a convenience fee when you pay not including what you tip. I'm paying $18 for a basic burger and 20-30 for entrees... and youre charging the customer a fee on top of that? No thank you.

Wonderful food, great selection on the menu. Good beers brewed on site. He got the Chicken Paprikas with housemade spaetzel off the main menu, I had the Chicken Schnitzel Florentine off the seasonal menu. We both had the Kolsch beer. We left full and satisfied.

Made a reservation online for 6, called the next day to confirm and talked to Mike. Got there… and they had no information about our reservation. Waited at the host stand (bc the sign said “Please wait to be seated”) and after talking to the same guy *twice* in 20 minutes who gestured to a table, said “I’ll follow you with menus” and then went behind the bar, spent 10 more minutes serving drinks and chatting before we just up and left to go somewhere else. Typically I’d be super understanding to a place so understaffed, but unless it’s a wild number of online orders— they only had like 5-6 other tables. So disappointed, and we hope maybe next time will be better.
