I'm from out-of-town and was calling a bunch of bakeries for a simple yet special cupcakes order for my daughter's 8th birthday. So happy I went with LaLa; they did not disappoint and their prices were reasonable.
I emailed her a few pictures and explained exactly what I had in mind, as far as flavors and designs/piping, and she got it on point! My order was for mini cupcakes, and despite their small sizes the piping was so dainty and extremely similar to the photos I had sent. They also tasted even better than they looked with a most and fluffy texture, and they were a big hit with both the kids and adults! Although, I wished the standard-size cupcake was a little bigger. The only thing I would change would be the special one I ordered for the bday girl--I expected a more elaborate floral piping with more height, but it still looked beautiful and my daughter loved it! Thank you!!

Depends on what you are looking for. Got a birthday cake. Ordered all chocolate, chocolate cake with chocolate icing and filling. Cake was extremely dense, almost brownie like, also almost 1/3 icing vs actual cake. Cake itself was extremely dense and almost crumbly. There was also partial vanilla icing filling despite ordering all chocolate? Was very confused upon receiving it. Expected more for spending +$45 on a 6in cake

Best cupcakes ever!!! We purchased 100 cupcakes for our wedding last month. And I canât even count how many people told us they were the best cupcakes theyâve ever had! We purchased more than we thought we would need and they were gone by the end of the night! The cake was gorgeous and perfect looking! I had a specific design that they perfected and I could not have asked for a better looking cake! The service was also amazing! The lady I was working with was so sweet and kind, I really wanted to love the cake. Unfortunately the cake did not taste good. It was dry and hard on the bottom layer. I also paid extra for cassata flavor and there were barely any strawberries or custard inside. Itâs the most Iâve ever spent on a cake ($145) but also the worst tasting cake Iâve ever had. It was really disappointing since it was very expensive and looked so amazing but it was very important that the design on the cake was perfect and a lot of bakeries told me they couldnât do the design idea -so I just accepted it. Ultimately I would give them another chance, they have great reviews and good service, but it just wasnât a great tasting cake for my family gathering.
