I was throwing a surprise 60th birthday party for my Dead Head friend who lives in. I live in Maryland so I searched out popular custom cakes places and came across Lala's. Their team made it so easy for me to do from afar, and created a cake that was absolutely PERFECT! They even made us some GF cupcakes for our one friend who is gluten free. Everyone that tried the cake (Red Velvet w/ Cookies n Cream frosting), said that it was the best cake they've ever had! I hope I get the opportunity to use them again!

Placed my order online and the process was really easy. Called and confirmed my order and the representative was really nice. My order was ready for pickup at the scheduled time. Upon walking in I was greeted with a smile and most importantly my cake looked and tasted amazing. They are a tad pricey but the service and finish product is worth it. The cake was stunning—exactly what we envisioned—and it tasted just as incredible as it looked. The cupcakes that came with it were equally delightful, and our guests loved guessing which of the four flavors would be their favorite. It added such a fun and memorable touch to the reception!
What impressed us even more was their willingness to deliver outside of their normal delivery zone just to ensure everything arrived perfectly. That kind of customer service is rare, and it shows how much they truly care about their clients.

I'm from out-of-town and was calling a bunch of bakeries for a simple yet special cupcakes order for my daughter's 8th birthday. So happy I went with LaLa; they did not disappoint and their prices were reasonable.
I emailed her a few pictures and explained exactly what I had in mind, as far as flavors and designs/piping, and she got it on point! My order was for mini cupcakes, and despite their small sizes the piping was so dainty and extremely similar to the photos I had sent. They also tasted even better than they looked with a most and fluffy texture, and they were a big hit with both the kids and adults! Although, I wished the standard-size cupcake was a little bigger. The only thing I would change would be the special one I ordered for the bday girl--I expected a more elaborate floral piping with more height, but it still looked beautiful and my daughter loved it! Thank you!!

Depends on what you are looking for. Got a birthday cake. Ordered all chocolate, chocolate cake with chocolate icing and filling. Cake was extremely dense, almost brownie like, also almost 1/3 icing vs actual cake. Cake itself was extremely dense and almost crumbly. There was also partial vanilla icing filling despite ordering all chocolate? Was very confused upon receiving it. Expected more for spending +$45 on a 6in cake

We purchased more than we thought we would need and they were gone by the end of the night!
