A great local place locally owned. I reviewed this restaurant before and went back. Two people in my party ordered the mushroom Swiss burger. It was cooked to order. The Gyro was huge. The appetizer was good as well.

Tried calling for 3 weeks to reserve a spot at Mars Bar for a casual spot to get together after my rehearsal for my wedding. I called 4 different times & sent an inquiry online. Was told the owner, George, would get back to me multiple times. Felt very dismissed every time I spoke with anyone. Bummed because I used to love this place and the food. Now, I have no idea where to make a reservation and I’m almost 3 weeks out. Incredibly irritated and upset. Most likely will not be going back as this is not the first time I’ve had issues with the service within in recent months.

Ordered chicken and received a burger. Bummed to see bartenders prioritizing conversations with each other over tending to customers. The server who ended up helping us was chill, but again the order was wrong and we were side eyed initially which spoiled the vibe. Food was good though!

The service was very slow. My burger was burnt to a literal crisp and my garlic-Parmesan fries were cold. My boyfriend ordered 2 kebabs- 1 beef and 1 vegetable and they gave 2 beef, no vegetable. The kebabs were ice cold. It tasted like the food was sitting and they were not very busy. They didn’t take anything off the bill either after telling them. We will not be back to try it again.
Asked for my burger well done not burnt. It was burnt. Called up there got hung up on twice, one employee called me back, when it was suppose to be management. She was laughing and talking trash in the background said her name was Erin. They told me I had to come back up there mind you it's 10 at night and 90 degrees. Then told me I had to send a email. It's was such a horrible experience over a burger. Went back the next day did get another burger. But management still never contacted me. Erin or whoever need to be more mindful because people don't play about they food or money.

Mars Bar is the best bar in Lakewood for sure!!! Vibes are cool, service is great, bartenders are nice... and the food is other-worldly!!! The lamb meatballs are an awesome app w/ vibrant flavor ~if you like the taste of olives. The gyros are always on-point, as is the original Greek salad (sans lettuce). I could live off the beef & veggie kebobs alone- 10/10. The burgers here are different, in a good way. It is hard to choose a favorite, but it's a tie between the Mercury burger and the French burger for me, depending on my mood. The space jam on the Merc burger is a uniquely bold flavor kick, while the French burger perfectly pairs the mild taste/texture of brie with just the right savoriness. Wings with Tick Tock hot sauce -10/10 Santorini Wings - 8/10 (subject to change ~work in progress) There is not a bad french fry in this place, but if you're still reading this... just get the rosemary truffle fries and thank me later. Eating here is a game you can't lose; it's the kind of meal that stays with you. The atmosphere is interesting, but I’m not interested. I prefer take-out. The owner is a good soul.✌️
