I love this place! Hadn't been in a couple years and went the other night for a drink and some apps.....we just missed happy hour, but everything is worth the price! The blood orange margaritas are amazing, and the brussel sprouts are soooo good! We're definitely going back for the brunch!Our bartender Will was the best. Gave recommendations on his fav's and was attentive but never intrusive.Of course the view is gorgeous. Even sitting at the bar you get an amazing view of Downtown.

I recently threw a surprise birthday party with over 50 guests at Summer Place. I was blown away by the amazing service they provided. The staff was incredibly attentive, making sure all our needs were met throughout the meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a memorable event. The food was A+, each dish was expertly prepared and had so much flavor, I highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience with exceptional service. I also can not thank Annie enough for working with me behind the scenes to create such an amazing event. Her attention to detail and proactiveness made the event go so smoothly.

Summer place is a lovely establishment with a heartwarming tale to recount. The vibrantly lit trees and decorations that greet you upon arrival immediately elevate your spirits and pay homage to Michael.Proceeds from The Summer House go to Awakening Angels— a non-profit dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and adults with autism and Down syndrome.As a food service worker, I can honestly say the staff here is unlike most. They're not only hard working but personable - interacting with guests and maintaining an upbeat atmosphere.The menu has something for everyone. Whatever your mood is that day, there is something available for you to enjoy. I highly recommend the Great Lakes Walleye, or Michael's favorite kabobs! I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Tom's mother by chance at the bar, and she described the passion he has for his work, and it is very apparent. Tom's menu changes to fit the season and never disappoints. He is also there to greet and seat guests and answer and questions about the menu. He cares about his guests and the experience they have.Every time I visit, it's a positive experience, and I couldn't be happier to make Summer Place my go to in the area.Honorable mentions- Layla the server did an amazing job, she was very knowledgeable and attentive. Beautiful room. Mostly a bar in the center. Fantastic views of the lake and parking lot. Services attentive and friendly. The food I wasn't impressed. the oysters on half shelll were very small. Prices were quite high. Menu was not well planned and limited .I definitely won't be back.Dietary restrictions: The menu is kind of limited and not thought out very well.

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time and it finally worked out. I started off with a pear martini and brussel sprout appetizer. The drink was delicious and strong, but no taste of alcohol. We were starving and the brussel sprouts hit the spot. I ordered the short rib and beet salad for dinner. The beet salad was larger than expected and great to share. The short rib was good, but a little on the fatty side. My partner got the Michaels favorite and enjoyed it. Several of menu items have a Mediterranean/Arabic theme. I also ordered the espresso martini which was, again, delicious and strong. We took a slice of the baklava cheesecake to go for when I have more room to indulge. The location is convenient to us and I look forward to coming back and trying other dishes. It’s probably lovely in the summer. Nice view of the lake beyond the parking lot and much more seating than Pier W next door.

Spectacular views and fresh minimalist decor. Fun place for a drink or appetizers. As a vegetarian the dinner menu has a few entrees - a tasty cauliflower entree and chick pea fritters - beyond the salads.
