Truly one of the gems of the west side. They have very good price and the food is a great value. The staff is down to earth and easy to talk to. This is a great place to visit. Not manny places around here have a pool table and a ping pong table.

We decided to check out the neighborhood bar down the street. The flying rib walked right in took a seat at a booth and was greeted immediately by the server to our drink order ordered our food. The atmosphere is nice. The music is nice. They have pool tables. We will definitely go back again.

I come here on Saturdays because we love the bartender Marigold. Came in this Saturday and she wasn’t there. I’m not sure why but the new bartender was super slow and was on her phone a lot. Seemed to only talk to the men in the corner. We walked out.
The experience my friends of color had at this bar was deeply disappointing and troubling. The bartender treated them with clear bias—refusing to warm up their cold food, denying them the basic courtesy of dining in, and even going so far as to say the owner was watching on camera and didn’t want us there. This wasn’t just poor service—it was targeted, unwelcoming, and discriminatory. It reflects a deeply problematic culture at this establishment, and I strongly urge others to think twice before supporting a place that allows this kind of behavior.

I recently ordered takeout from The Flying Rib, and I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. It seemed like little effort was put into preparing the meal properly.
The salad was a disaster—several ingredients were missing, and what was left was unappetizing. The lettuce was bitter, with some pieces clearly rotten, making it completely inedible.
The two burgers were just as bad. They were undercooked, missing key ingredients, and served on soggy buns that fell apart immediately. It was clear that there was no attention to detail in their preparation.
The mozzarella sticks were another major letdown. Instead of the crispy, cheesy bites I expected, they were just barely cooked breading with little to no cheese inside. It was as if they had been rushed through the fryer without being cooked properly.
I even tried to contact them to just remake it not refund where that was a bust
Overall, this was one of the worst takeout experiences I’ve had. The quality and care were seriously lacking, and I won’t be ordering from The Flying Rib again unless they make major improvements.

Stopped in for a beer and some food. We order the chicken wings. They were so good. Beer was cold. Our bartender was awesome, very attentive.
