Good food and good vibe. The star of this restaurant was the smoked sausage. The brisket came in second, it was very good but a bit too fatty. The ribs were also very good. The pulled pork was a bit dry and didn’t pack much flavor, but it didn’t take away from the meal as a whole.Sides: the potato salad my have been the best I have ever had!! Mac and cheese was good.Pickles surprisingly amazing!!!The service was good, its a friendly small divey place with almost diner vibes.

If you’re looking for good eats and you like meat the proper pig is the place for you to go. It is a small quaint place and most people would call it a dive bar. There’s a bar that you can sit at to eat your meal, but there are also tables. Now There are only about seven or eight tables in the restaurant total so this is definitely not for your large groups. I ordered the three combo platter. The combo came with coleslaw, mac & cheese, and pickles beef brisket, turkey, and pulled pork. I also ordered the pulled pork nachos. Although I’m not a big pork eater, I did taste them and they were absolutely delicious. However, the smoked beef brisket and smoked turkey deserve more than just a mention. We were given the food on a metal platter with plastic ware to utilize. When you can cut beef brisket with a plastic knife, it tells you you are in for a treat. Each of the meat products that I had was full of flavor and was tender. The sides were meh. This restaurant deserves a visit and if you love meat, go ahead and try it out. Honorable mention goes to the moonshine in mason jars. Now, don’t expect them to roll out the welcome mat for you. The service wasn’t bad but it was awkward.

We had the barbecue it was ok. Kinda dry sides were good but nothing memorable. The banana pudding was the star of the show but it was pretty over priced for the small portion. To be honest I won’t be back but only because there are much better bbq in the city at the same price point that are

How is it that the brisket was more dry than the smoked turkey? It was like eating chalk dipped in cheap, storebought bbq sauce mixed with water. Even the potato salad was

Ribs too processed and dry and had that pink color and a texture and taste like ham at the deli counter. Brisket was dry perhaps a little old. Banana pudding extremely salty. They don't answer their phone for orders so there is no way to ask "are your ribs like rib burn off type ribs or super processed type ribs." To our disappointment they are definitely not the type of ribs you get at a rib burn off. 1 for food 3 for service.

Stopped in because it was close to where we needed to go. We were glad we did. Brisket was very good. Mac n cheese was good too. The banana pudding was good too. BBQ sauce was watery, but the meat didn't really need it. Great selection of moonshine, we didn't try any though.

First Time ever being in Cleveland, only to catch a flight. I love BBQ. And looked for a place. This place was voted best in Cleveland. Ilove to try and eat at a place wherever state I go to.Small place, decor looked great. Confused by the setup. Ordered at window brought out in a takeout container.. ordered the 3 meat platter and 1 side for $17. Thats a really good price. Ordered Pull Pork, Brisket(I'm a brisket guy), smoked sausage. Mac and cheese for a side.2 tiny BBQ sauce containers. Not a big fan of pure liquid sauce. Flavor was great though. Smoked Sausage was delicious, pull pork was a tad dry and the Brisket was the worst I've ever had. Maybe it was a bad batch. Wish I took a picture. But to me it looked like a big slab of PotRoast. It was so Dry and tough to eat. I didnt even finish it. Way overcooked. Maybe ill try again in a future visit. Also wheres the cornbread. Traditional BBQ has slices of Cornbread. Not a plain dinner roll.
