Love root cage for the most part. Have gone here for over 10 years. It has its up and downs. Sometimes you go and u wait an insane amount of time for a sub par coffee. Sometimes you go and wait an okay amount of time for a good coffee. Inconsistent for sure. Today though really got to me. I ordered two gluten free wraps from them. I thought, if anybody is gonna do gluten free right.. it’ll be a healthy place like root cafe. Wrong. My wraps weren’t wrapped… they were folded in half like quesadillas and everything fell out cuz these aren’t the type of sandwiches that can be made like that. The gluten free wrap was also terrible! Half soggy and half rock hard… crunchy as a chip. Not an enjoyable experience at all. I thought I could be gluten free and still enjoy the sandwiches I got there for years.. but I guess not. I suggest you guys do better in that department. It’s not fair how people with gluten intolerance often have to pay more for food that is often smaller in portion and not comparable taste or texture wise. There’s lots of good gluten free wrap options out there. Do better root cafe.

I’ve never been here and tried the “too good to go” mystery bag. It was literally 3 muffins and not a mystery at all. When you get there they say “pick 3 muffins”. I tried the coffee cake one so far and it’s awful. The batter sticks to the paper wrapping and if you don’t want to eat paper you have to cut it all off.

Root is a good vegetarian spot. We went for brunch. Decent selection and reasonable prices.
I didn't care for the coffee, but I'm very particular about it. I should have has it as just coffee instead of cappuccino.
Dietary restrictions: Good for gluten free.

Has great vegetarian and vegan options! However, I wouldn't necessarily say it's healthy because the dishes still use a lot of oil based sauces. We ordered a rice bowl, mushroom melt and vegan pizza but all 3 just used too much vegan cheese/sauce which made the dishes heavier and salty.
I know it's personal preference but I prefer clean/raw vegetarian or vegan food where I can still taste the vegetables being used.
The chai tea latte was great though!

drink options were quite pricey and underwhelming; I tried a few different options and each was disappointing. I got one of the bakery items and, while it was vegan, was also disappointing. for the price of the items, the quality was not satisfactory. I also ended up trying one of the bowls, which was likely the most worthy thing of ordering (though still expensive). the service, however, was good and we received our orders promptly.
Parking: Difficult to find parking; street parking sparse and NOT free depending on the day of the week.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible for wheelchair users.

Some items have no seasoning...so be wary if you want some flavor...but that's more healthy for you anyway...

Came here with a friend a couple times. The atmosphere is really chill and laid back. Even if the place is full you can still have a conversation without speaking loudly. The coffee is fine, not great but not bad either. It won't keep me away if I needed a place to have a sit down. The servers are ok too. Never had an issue

Went in to get a few bakery items to try as I've had the coffee in the past, which was good. The scones were very dry and kinda hard. They seemed to be over baked due to the hardness on the bottom and the coloring. I was very disappointed in them. The girl that helped me wasn't very pleasant and I felt unwelcome this time around. I was looking to purchase a drink while waiting until I felt like an inconvenience.
The cappuccino with nut milk is bitter and salty and horrible

$18 for a sandwich with hardly any ingredients and a brown avocado that should have been thrown away, not put on a sandwich :( Cabbage salad with cashews was also just a bowl of cashews with a cabbage garnish. I feel like I just spent $30 to eat someone’s food scraps. Am sad.
Got the vegan power bowl, it was great, the food and atmosphere were awesome. The coffee was okay, and there isn’t much option for parking, but will definitely come back for the food!

I have been coming here for years, it used to be my go-to spot for coffee or a quick bite to eat. While food continues to be delicious, other aspects have lost of their quality over time. My latte order is frequently wrong or tastes differently depending on who made it, tables and chairs aren’t always cleaned up, and the only barista who used to greet you and make a superb Mayan mocha doesn’t seem to work there anymore.

Very over priced and poor quslity. The lemon poppy seed mufffin was stale and half of it stuck to the wrapper. Ever hear of cooking spray stupido??
Great spot for gluten free and vegan bakery. Super difficult to find places that do both! Love the vibe too ?☕️
