We are from out of town and found this local bar/restaurant online. The service was wonderful, the servers truly care about taking care of the customers, great drinks and the atmosphere of the restaurant is fun and welcoming. Would definitely be our go to spot if we lived here!

Write when you're walking to the place. You are welcome by staff. I like all the open beams. It gives you that classy steak house feel. There are lots of different drinks to choose from. You can also have a sample of your not sure what you want to drink. The food is amazing. I got the barnyard burger. I will definitely be going back to try other drink and food items.

Not sure if this was an off night or not. The service was fine, our waitress was great, but the food was awful. We couldn't eat most of it. The steaks were grey and tasted like the meat had turned. The pecan chicken was alright; but beyond the crusting it was fairly bland.

This is an incredible place to take yourself out on a date, especially since it's so close to the only fast charger in town for my EV. I got a mocktail for only like $6 and a HUGE and incredibly tasty margarita pizza for only $13 during happy hour!! I added grilled chicken, which was a Great idea. Getting a great drink and great food with leftovers for $25 ($30 with a tip) was well worth it.
The staff were super kind! Taylor was my server and was very friendly and attentive :)
I will be coming back!!
Dietary restrictions: I have a shellfish allergy, and they assured me that there wasn't any cross contamination, which was great.

Walked past this place but google thinks I went in and ate. So im going to be a good boy and leave 5 stars
Outstanding experience, don't miss it! Sophisticated, intimate, and chic atmosphere. I'm a bit of a foodie and am not impressed easily but this place blew me away. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel like we were the only table she was serving. The menu was imaginative with so many appealing dishes to choose from. Highly recommend the Chicken Varenna. My only regret is that I don't live in the area so I won't be able to return on a frequent basis.

The town of Lancaster is a must if you are near the Hocking Hills area. Specifically, Ale House 1890. My wife and I went for dinner (enjoyed the prime rib) and back again for lunch a couple days later. We loved it it and suggest you give it a shot, too.

Lancaster is lucky to have Ale House 1890. We are home visiting family, we've been away from Lancaster for a long time and are astonished by all of the new restaurants, cafes, and bakeries available on Main Street. Ale House provided incredible service, and even better food. The liquor and beer selection is top tier and the prices are reasonable compared to big city prices. Our table ordered shrimp and grits, BBQ shrimp with risotto, burgers, mac and cheese, french onion soup, pecan chicken, and duck perogies. I personally sampled a bit from every dish and have to say they were all wonderful. The appetizers we tried were also fantastic. For a big table of 10 the food came out surprisingly fresh and hot. The wait was short, and the restaurant was packed on a Monday so that's how you know it's good. Any time we visit Lancaster in the future, we'll be dining at Ale House 1890.

Was super disappointed with the lack of GF items. Staff wasn’t overly nice either. This place could take some steps to improve their CSR - especially the call ahead girls. The pizza was good and so were the drinks. Won’t be going back.
