Called ahead to accommodate a party of 11 and they said they could if we arrived at 5:30. Made us sit there for an hour and a half until 7:00. They refused to tell another table who had been there for hours to leave or to push other tables to seat us. Wouldn’t know how the food is because we didn’t get to try! Don’t plan on going here with a large party even if they say they will accommodate! Oh also while waiting in the front they took one of the chairs we were sitting on while waiting to give to someone else.

Very chic. Good drinks and food.
Great food and atmosphere!
A Lancaster staple since 2013. Excellent cuisine. A welcoming atmosphere where all of Lancaster can mingle. Fantastic outdoor patio. And the signature cocktails are phenomenal.

Great atmosphere. Limited menu. A bit pricy for my budget. Appetizer came after lunch was served.

My Dad and I stopped in for dinner this evening and both of our dinners were incredibly delicious. We each had the specials, the stuffed salmon and pork shank, and we both decided they were some of the best dishes we’ve had out in a while. Our server was Ellen I believe and she was very friendly as well.

We got fish sandwiches. Very bland. No flavor. Very pricey for what we got.
$10-12.00 for a dessert? I don't think so.

We had a great server and the employees working were very nice. We do have some complaints. Our food for the price was not a lot I got the fish and chips and my guest got the wrap. The wrap was very spicy and cold. My fish and chips were pretty pricy and you only get two small pieces of fish and barely any fries. The prices here are very expensive for just the two of us. I loved the blueberry margarita thought that was actually good but was 12 dollars. I feel like you can get more food that’s even better for a lot cheaper at like Texas Roadhouse or another restaurant. High prices and not the best quality food I would probably only come back for the drinks or the margarita pizza. Otherwise good atmosphere and service.

The food here is absolutely amazing. I haven't had anything I didn't like on the menu at all. Wait staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely one of my favorite places to go in Lancaster.

Our team has visited Ale House on numerous occasions and has never been disappointed. Their staff is always friendly and fast! Our favorite meals are the pecan crusted chicken, cheech & chong burger, and the blackened salmon.

Arrived without a reservation. Was told approximately an hour wait. Put our name down. Approximately 30 minutes later, a table opened up.
Waitresses were very polite!
We ate outside. It was a nice patio area.
Had the Barnyard Burger, with the Redskin Mashed Potatoes as the side. It was the best burger I have had from a brick and mortar restaurant! The mashed potatoes had a very interesting flavor, and were very good! We did not get any adult beverages, as we had flown in on an airplane (landed at Fairfield County - KLHQ)
I would definitely recommend Ale House 1890! We will hopefully be back soon!
