We were immediately seated in the outside section of the restaurant. The vibe was casual and down-to-earth. The service was prompt and attentive. The menu is varied with lots of good grilled items. The food was very good. We enjoyed our meal and recommend Castaways.

Castaways absolutely slayed tonight. For starters, I had the shrimp cocktail. I was actually surprised at the size of the shrimp for the price an excellent value. For my main course I had the 10 ounce fillet with mushrooms. For my two sides I did cottage cheese and the grilled onions which I think were marinated in heaven. If you’re looking for something fancy, this ain’t the spot. But if you want an incredible steak, at a Lancaster staple, give this place a shot. Staff was friendly, prices were fair, and I ate every single bite of my steak. Not one bad bite, perfectly cooked medium rare. No sauce needed, just as it should be. We will be back soon. Well done y’all!

The food itself was great at the price point and I was seated immediately. The food came out in less than 5 minutes. The smell outside the restaurant before it opens is heavenly and will bring you in
We stopped by Castaways in Lancaster and had a nice, low-key meal. The staff was super friendly and made us feel very welcome, which we really appreciated. We ordered the fried haddock with a baked potato and green beans. Overall, nothing fancy, but the prices were very reasonable and we feel like we got exactly what we paid for. A laid-back spot with kind service—sometimes that’s all you need.

Got really sick after having ribeye steak potatato and.salad
Salad great. I ordered a fillet it was medium rare which I asked for. I took one bite and knew it was rancid. The waitress finally came around she asked me if I wanted a box I said no that the steak was bad she took my plate and that was it never said sorry can I replace it brought the check and left it on the table. I ended up paying for it. PS how I know the steak was rancid I use to work in a local grocery store in the meat department , in case you were wondering how I knew. My son had the same cut of steak and his was good.
Disgusting food ! I'll never eat there again The filet of haddock is nothing more than minced fish microwaved The baked potato was black brown and had a smell to it I asked to have cottage cheese to replace it and instead they insisted another baked potato she cut it open and said here is a fresh one and it was worse than the first one black brown! They're sauteed mushrooms is nothing more than canned mushrooms The hamburger was coarse ground and was very strong tasting and I'd still like to know how a fish fillet dinner that was $13 on the menu and the specialty hamburger was $10 on the menu The drinks are $3.29 or 3.39 a piece and our bill came out to $38!!! When we got our check it was a straight out $35 plus tax which was $2 and something why wasn't it broke down so we know what we were paying for. So disgusted arguing with them over bad food, We just paid the bill and left. Smh
Excellent t food, I had shrimp, friends had pizza and steak. All the food is extremely delicious
