Took the grandsons for a treat on “guy’s night.” They loved the ice cream and the monkey art on the walls. The donuts were great for breakfast the next morning. I love how the shop supports veterans. Nice family dessert place.

I went to order the peanut butter overload today. I have them my order. I told them that I wanted 3 scoops of ice cream. One chocolate peanut butter and the other 2 scoops the other peanut butter and vanilla they normally use. I asked for extra Reese cups and peanut butter sauce and to go light on the chocolate fudge and to add pecans. The girl wrote it down and charged us for 2 scoops and extra for one to have extra Reese cups. When it came out it had 3 tinny tiny scoops, barely and sauces and I didn't see a nut one. Ask what happened and if they changed their scoop size and they said no that the ice cream was frozen and just came out of the freezer. I said what about the sauces and the extra Reese cups. They said they would add more but when they came back with it, all I got was attitude. It had a little more but wasn't even close to the size it normally is. I have been going to Dairy Queen for the last two months because they are always out of Reese cups and the last 2 times I have tried to give them a chance it is always wrong. I love their ice cream but I am over them not getting the order right or not having the product. So frustrating! You try to support local and then you get this.

I had a really disappointing experience at Gypsy Joe’s Ice Cream Shop. Every time I visit, they never seem to have the flavors I want in stock. It’s really frustrating to look forward to a treat, only to be told they’re out of nearly everything. The one flavor I did manage to get was awful. It had a weird taste, and I couldn’t even finish it. To top it off, the prices are pretty high for what you get. Save your time and money and go to Nancy’s Scoops down the road. They have better-tasting ice cream, a wide variety of flavors, and much more reasonable prices.
