I had a frozen s'more and a flimsy plastic knife and fork to dine with. I ordered a cup of espresso which seemed to be watered down. I could clearly see clear water on top of the thick coffee. As soon as the place closed, the kids working there threw me out. I had barely been able to eat any of the s'more in 45 minutes. So, I had to sit out on the street as people passing by seemed to regard me as a worthless street urchin...

I’ve been around long enough to remember when this spot was Shaw’s Hotel and Restaurant, so I’m definitely dating myself here, but I have to say—this place is a serious upgrade. We walked in, ordered our coffee, and before we even sat down, it was ready. Talk about impressive speed and service!
The next day, we came back to try the breakfast offerings and got a bagel with egg, cheese, and sausage. The best part? You can customize it with any flavor bagel and cheese, which makes for endless breakfast sandwich combos. So many options, I’ll need to come back just to try them all.
Bonus points for the hidden downstairs area that has a speakeasy vibe—couches, bars, and tables make it the perfect place to hang out and relax. It’s got that cool, laid-back atmosphere that makes you want to spend hours there.
Between the great prices, the eclectic decor, the overall atmosphere, and the amazing baristas, I 100% recommend L City. It’s definitely become one of my favorite spots in Lancaster!

Always friendly and courteous! Quick with your order! Love the location and area but sometimes I wish they had a drive thru but that would take away from the personal experience for me! Staff are always friendly and greet you with a smile

So normally I have a good visit. I always get a plain bagel toasted with butter. I’ve had two visits (same worker) hand me a non toasted bagel. I wish I would have noticed I’m in a hurry to work. But now I have to throw it in the microwave. Not a huge deal but kind of irritating. No toast marks on bagel in image. Will I still go here? Yes but will definitely be checking from now on.
