We went through the drive through to order our food and the lady who took our order was very hyper, and spoke extremely fast. It was extremely hard for understand her when she reported our order . When we got up to window to pay my husband wanted to make sure that she heard him when he said no onion and before he could even finish his sentence she slammed the window shut in his face (this is the same lady who took our order at the drive through). I do have to say the cook who brought our milkshakes to the window was very sweet and polite as well as the lady who brought our food to the window. Our milkshakes were amazing as always (I always get Nutella and it never disappoints), BUT our order was incomplete, we were missing my meal, and although he asked for no onions on his burger, they were still put on his sandwich, and the fries were cold and not fresh.

Not a real restaurant. Needs wait staff, not a kiosk to take orders. Kiosk is difficult for senior adults to use. Scan cards for a soda fountain? That dumb. SnS must be desperate to make a profit by nickel & diming guests with this method.

At Lancaster Ohio location. During the day when I get Steak ‘n Shake the food and drinks and milkshakes are always amazing. Whenever I get Steak ‘n Shake during the night shift (has been twice now) the food is just reheated and not made fresh. I gave them a second chance and the night shift consistently fails to provide fresh, quality food. I spent $30 for two people and the quality of food I received was not worth that amount of money. My wife had something on her burger that had a very bad strong taste and she spit it out (looks like some type of green leaf, see attached picture) Our drinks tasted watered down. The manager for this store needs to hire people like Alice that works during the day. Alice is the best employee at Steak ‘n Shake. Lazy people with no work ethic work at night and do a terrible job. Who knows how nasty that kitchen gets at night because of how lazy the night shift is. Horrible experience with the night shift twice now. The night shift does not care about the customer. I’m leaving 5 stars because of Alice and the lunch time crew. The night shift is 0 stars

The staff were very nice, but most of the process is automated (orders are placed on kiosks). One of the employees checked in multiple times to make sure we were doing well, which was very thoughtful. The one thing that I didn’t love was one employee who kept yelling into the microphone to announce orders. Both customers and other employees physically jumped multiple times because the employee was so loud 😂
Wheelchair accessibility: There are sidewalks outside and plenty of options for wheelchair-accessible seating including both regular tables as well as booths. The dining area is open and has wide paths for anyone using mobility aids to utilize.
