Asian fusion is not my favorite style as I prefer traditional yet I was pleased by just how good the food is at Wild Ginger. I saw someone get an egg roll as an appetizer, which I typically skip, but it looked so delicious that we ordered them anyway. We were rewarded with large, fresh, great tasting egg rolls. Try them, you won’t be sorry! Back to basics so we had Pad Thai as our main course and it was spicy & sweet, nutty & savory. Even the mild version my wife ordered was chocked full of flavor. I had the shrimp and she had the chicken. There was just enough left over for take home but we stayed in a hotel so I ate as much as I could. Warning… if you order take out things get backed up around dinner time. We waited another 45 minutes after our dinner on a carry out to take to our relatives. So much for sharing…
Food is always on point!! Best Sushi in Lancaster.
Ordered pickup and had to look for an employee rather than being greeted, then when I was they barely spoke English and asked if I called.
Got my food, which was 30$+ in a box!
It was pretty overpriced and underwhelming for the amount of money I spent for such little food.
Very strange in my opinion for a ‘restaurant’ but let’s not forget I found a piece of foil on my green beans in my meal, overall it’s not worth eating at again considering the inside looked very depressing and jammed into a small makeshift dining area.
The food was good not to busy
We were a party of 10 looking for sushi lunch. We used Google and found this spot. They were very accommodating and the service as well as the food was good 👍
Always so good.
Food good, service terrible. Never on time, always have to wait for your order. Nevhave had it ready on time. They weren't even busy.
Didn't think the place was run down the way the reviews made it seem. The outside is cool and the food is very good. It was fresh, and they were very fast with service. Crab rangoons can come down in price actually but other than that, it was good.
I visited a lot of sushi restaurants all over, this is Japanese authentic fresh and wonderful.
Very limited options to start and the Szechuan chicken was too sweet with not enough spice. It wasn’t terrible that’s why the 2 stars and not 1. The cleanliness of the place would get a ZERO! It’s absolutely disgusting. See picture of the wall beside our table. The table topper looks like it has YEARS of grime built up on it. They have literally never wiped it down.
This place should be ashamed to be open for business with how filthy it is

Excellent spot to share a meal with a friends. Great lunch specials served 11 to 2:30 daily with choice of protein ( tofu -steamed or fried--, chicken, beef or shrimp with soup or salad. Sushi specials as well. Very reasonable prices. The Japanese eggplant, schezuan peppercorn, Thai curry and wok ginger glaze all excellent. Good soups and hot tea. Great quick service and nice setting.
I will say, don't judge a book by its cover. This place is in a deep need of a remodel, plus new tables, etc. But the food is top-notch. Everything is fresh, made to order. Definitely will be returning.

A Disastrous Dining Experience at Wild Ginger Asian Bistro
My wife and I recently had the misfortune of dining at Wild Ginger Asian Bistro in Lancaster, Ohio, and it was, without a doubt, one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've ever had.
Ambiance and Cleanliness:
Upon our arrival, we both noted the “rustic” exterior (as real estate agent Marge Simpson would say). It looks like they haven’t updated or upkept the building since the 1970s. When we entered, we were immediately struck by the lackluster ambiance with décor that felt both dated and uninspired. To make matters worse, I managed to trip over the step leading to the raised dining area, which seats maybe two dozen people (not including the bar). Perhaps there's more seating somewhere else in the restaurant, but we didn’t see any. The entire setup felt cramped and poorly thought out, adding to the overall disarray.
Service:
The service was abysmal. We were seated promptly (it wasn’t busy), and our drink order was taken. This experience was extraordinary, though not in a good way: instead of simply writing down or remembering our order, the server turned toward the bar (no more than a dozen feet away) and yelled our order to the kitchen staff in her native language. This became the standard for every interaction we had, each time shouting orders across the restaurant rather than addressing us directly or with any semblance of professionalism.
If that wasn’t distressing enough, I had ordered a lemon-lime soda. However, after another long wait, I was presented with tap water instead. When our server finally passed by again, I politely requested the correct beverage, only to receive yet another glass of tap water. After a third attempt, my wife intervened, only to witness the server fail to deliver the correct drink once again. The staff’s complete indifference to our concerns and their total lack of courtesy made what should have been a simple dinner an aggravating ordeal.
Food:
If you’ve read this far and can believe it—we haven’t even gotten to the most egregious part of our experience yet! The food wasn’t just bad; it was an insult to the concept of preparation itself. In fact, it seemed as though the kitchen staff was unprepared to serve anything resembling a decent meal. My wife ordered the Shrimp Fried Rice, and it was a complete travesty. The few shrimp (a meager three) were scattered on top of a humongous mound of rice that could hardly be called "fried." As for my “Sizzling Steak,” it would more accurately be titled “Overwhelming Onions.” I found four or five slivers of meat buried beneath a mountain of onions and a few lonely red peppers. It was almost as if the chef had a deep personal grievance against anyone expecting a well-balanced plate.
Overall:
I would strongly advise anyone considering dining at Wild Ginger Asian Bistro to think twice. Our experience was nothing short of disastrous, and we will certainly not be returning. There are many other dining options in Lancaster that offer far superior food, service, and value. Wild Ginger Asian Bistro needs a serious overhaul in every aspect of its operation before it can even begin to call itself a reputable dining establishment.
