Service was good. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. I got the halibut and dear lord it was so sweet. It is sitting on a carrot pure, pesto, and paprika infused honey. I thought the fish and pesto would balance out with the sweetness but I’m not sure if they just put too much honey or what but it was aggressively sweet. Room was $200 in a 210 year old hotel. Stories of history and haunting. Alive souls with a hospitality spirit with a divine kitchen. Been an excellent experience for decades. Reasonably convenient distance to experience the past.
It’s a great restaurant, both the food and the ambiance. Karen was our waitress, and the inspiration for this review. This was the sort of experience where you feel the warmth of the fire along with the hospitality in the air.
