The Old Bag of Nails Pub is a popular neighborhood spot known for its good drinks and excellent food. It has a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The pub is especially praised for its fish and chips, which many consider the best in the area. The portion of fish is huge and crispy, and the blackened fish and chips, dill sauce, mussels, and New England reuben are favorites among regulars. Visitors appreciate the consistently good food and attentive service. On weekends, it’s a great place to catch a game while enjoying nachos and cocktails at the bar in a comfortable setting. The menu features homemade French Onion soup and New England clam chowder, both of which are great staples. Although service can sometimes be slow during lunch, the portions are generous, making it a good spot for a relaxed meal. The hand-dipped onion rings and seafood dishes like fish and chips remain popular choices. Overall, guests find it well worth the money and highly recommend this welcoming pub.
