Took my eight year old son for his birthday! Waiter came and said they wouldn’t sing him happy birthday. The let down. Hurt me to see his pain. No tip on a 140 bill and never to return to any el Cazador restaurant ever.

My family and I decided to celebrate my birthday on April 15th at this new spot in Lima. Intrigued by the enticing food photos on their Facebook page, I opted for the el molcajete bowl priced at around $20-$25. Disappointingly, the steak lacked flavor and was marbled with excessive fat, while the chicken was overly dry and unappetizing. The bowl seemed to be predominantly cheese, and the chorizo was underwhelming given the high price. Even the $6 strawberry lemonade tasted like diluted strawberry flavoring, a letdown for both me and my mom who ordered it. The service left much to be desired; our server seemed disinterested and unwelcoming, giving off an air of indifference. However, the fried ice cream was a delightful surprise, and the ambiance of the establishment was pleasant. It's regrettable that the food didn't live up to expectations, especially on such a special occasion for my family and me.

I unfortunately got food poisoning from here that had me vomiting. I’m still feeling off and it’s been 4 days. It makes me not want to go back. They have decent drinks though. Service is fast.

I was a little annoyed at first bc it took a few minutes to get a server, but once we did, everything was Great! The food came out fast and very friendly service. I forgot to take a pic of fresh guacamole, but the flavor was excellent. My daughter got the vegetarian tacos and loved them. I got the Birria tacos and they were so good. The beans are amazing. The chips and salsa were yummy and the chips came out warm, which I love. We were too full to have dessert but the options looked wonderful and will definitely try to have some next time. Highly recommend this place, from a west coast Hispanic heritage girl

We went for dinner one evening and lunch for the following day. We ordered birria tacos, beef chimichangas, chicken enchiladas, peach margarita, pina colada, and sweeten ice tea. The food was very delicious! The waiter was very nice and attentive. Would love to go back, but it's 9 hrs away from home...lol. Whenever we decide to visit OH, we're definitely stopping by to fill our bellies. You will not be disappointed. Wish I would have gotten 2 orders of the beef chimichangas to go.Parking: There were plenty of parking
Awesome authentic Mexican food! If you like hot salsa, they make their own each day. Best hot salsa ever! Rodrigo was our waiter, and we never had an empty drink or needed to ask for anything. I highly recommend this place!!!
