“I have a rare food allergy, so eating out can be a challenge. We are not from the Lima area but meet our adult children there sometimes since it is a midway point between our homes. We tried The Met today based on the reviews we saw online. We were not disappointed at all! We had Haily as a waitress today, she was super helpful and kind! I had many questions about ingredients and cross contamination concerns, she was happy to go back and forth between me and the chef/kitchen staff. Due to the fact that they make many of their own foods and do not rely on pre-manufactured foods, my allergy issues was not as big of a problem in this establishment. I had a larger variety of meals I could choose from than I do at most restaurants. We were excited enough about the variety I could choose from, but then once we got our meals we were even more pleased! The food was AMAZING! The smoked brisket was so tender and flavorful! We can not wait for our next excuse to meet up with our children so we have another chance to eat at The Met!! Thank you to all the staff today who made sure I was able to have quality food without any allergy issues! You made my day!”

I was introduced to this place by one of my mentors in the EMS field while serving the community. A little convenience store selling some delicious deli "samviches" and ice cream. Yes! Yes, you should try the subs too.”

“I saw someone walk out with a drink that I wanted to try. I had never been, so I walked in and explained what the drink looked like. The girls working found the drink on a previous order and then made it for me. They were super kind, super friendly, and the drink was delicious! I will definitely be back!”

There is no rush to leave which is great. The coffee is well brewed. Be clear if you are a true coffee lover and not a not a syrup, milky beverage person. I don't mean to speak ill of this place. It's a great destination. They just need to work on the prices.”

It's very laid back amazed ice some of those girls have been there a very looonggg time but all of them get you all the way together they mean business about that food. “I felt like I stepped back into the 80’s. The prices were great and the food was good. Atmosphere was dated and kinda weird. I got the cheese burger with fries. Everything was really good. The fries reminded me of how the McDonald fries used to be when they were good.
Seems like an iconic place to visit and I’d say you definitely want to try it.”

“Kewpee is a Lima landmark. I have enjoyed it my entire life. All the food is fantastic. Old fashioned food for old fashioned prices. Over time, service has slacked a little. I think that it's a younger generation who wasn't brought up with the same work ethic we were. They just don't hustle the same. The atmosphere is plain but always clean. If it is not mention it and it will be taken care of immediately. My personal favorite is the original on Elizabeth St. The food is just better there. I can truly say that I have never had a bad Kewpee meal experience. Also, get out of the car/drive thru and go in. You are missing part of the experience.”

“My mom and I like stopping by here in the spring/summertime. A nice ice cream shop in an area with limited options to eat at (considering it’s out in the country). So if you’re looking for your summer cool off when you’re out in Alger, check this place out :) Plus they have a drive through! I normally go for a strawberry sundae, strawberry shake, hot dog and pictured here is the Nacho Supreme which they give you plenty of tortilla chips with a cheese dip.”

“100% DO NOT RECOMMEND.....took 20 minutes plus for two orders. three cones and a milkshake on one order and two banana splits on another. repeatedly asked if we paid in a very derogatory manner even though they had already collected funds for both orders. manager refused to come to the window. first and last time coming here also no handicap parking. gonna call ADA Complaint. one space that you can't see because of the drive through and the way to lot is blocked off for seating”

“We live out of state but planned to head to Arlington Ohio to celebrate my mother-in-laws birthday and needed a cake to honor the milestone birthday. Not familiar with the area or cake makers, Google showed several but I couldn’t find one that had decent reviews and would be open on Saturday (we would be arriving late Friday dependent on traffic). On Tuesday (4 days before I would need the cake) I took a chance and called Calla Lilly and she was so friendly on the phone. Several questions were asked and I turned all ideas to her and hoped for the best. I ended up calling on Friday to see if I could get it on our way through and she was working on it. I messaged an hour before we would be there and when we arrived, the cake was completed. It was beautiful. We had the cake today and the flavor was really good and it was so good and not a bit dry. I’m so glad I took a leap of faith. All party goers commented on it and even my Mother-in-law mentioned how good it was. Thank you so much for the hard work, creativity and ease to work with.”

Wheelchair accessibility: Not really good for wheelchair. They have seating on the main floor but it's booths if I remember correct. The doorways are all small so not real maneuverable.”

“I stopped into Paddy's Mac, Lima's oldest Irish pub, for a bit of nostalgia last night since I haven't lived here in 20 years. One question came to mind: when did Paddy Mac's become the spot? It was absolutely packed in there.

The atmosphere was vibrant with a live band playing outside who were simply amazing. Inside, there was a jukebox and a .75 cent pool table, adding to the pub’s old-school charm. The large drafts, over 32 oz, were only $4, and the food prices looked like they were straight out of the 90s.

The highlight of the night was definitely the bartender, Summer. Even though she was working the bar by herself, she handled it like a seasoned pro, ensuring that no one had to wait long for their drinks. It might have been her 30th birthday, but she was serving like she had been behind the pine for 30 years.

Paddy's Mac has truly become a gem and I will definitely be back on my next trip home.”

She was welcoming and very knowledgeable. She was able to help me choose products that works for me. I've been going since February and have lost over 40lbs. Also my A1C is now a 5.1! “Love their food. It's hands down the best pizzeria in Lima. Those cinnamon sticks are to die for. They're supposed to be dessert but we eat them right away. Plus the price it's amazing too. I can get an 18in 2 topping pizza, cinnamon sticks, which is more like a small cake. A lasagna, and a 2 liter plus delivery for $40. You will pay that much for beer barrel alone and their sauce isn't sweet at all. Which is what I like. Everyone tht tries it loves it or else they're a jerk.”

“Today was my son’s birthday and he really loves Dunkins iced pink donuts I was able to get three dozen donuts through the drive-through in just a couple minutes at 7:15am which I’m sure can be a busy time as people head to work and it was the cheapest I could get around in Lima. All the workers were very sweet and pleasant.”

Run low close to end of day. The staff is friendly and helpful. The little table could use a bit more sprucing up from time to time, but overall good experience! “We came in today (2/26/2022) at 4:00 for a late lunch and it was absolutely slammed. Very busy. But despite it all, the entire staff was incredibly kind, went above and beyond for us, compensated for our wait without us saying anything about it, and stayed calm and collected, even with the large line of people. The quality of food was so good — everything was fresh and the dining/seating area was very clean! We were throughly impressed with Ashley and Alex especially! They’re warm and friendly attitudes made the visit beyond pleasant!”
