Restaurantji's Lima Mexican restaurant picks are here.
“This is our favorite Mexican restaurant hands down. The staff are all awesome and they truly care about providing a great dining experience. They keep the restaurant really clean! As soon as someone leaves they are cleaning the tables and vacuuming the floor. They have a good selection of Tequila and beer and the food is always delicious. If you have not tried their hot salsa, you are missing out. Ask for it next time :)“
“Excellent food & service.Kid-friendliness: Server was excellent & food was awesome. Got the deep fried shredded beef chimichanga and steak fajitas. Always good and only place we want to go.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair and walker friendly.“
“Live in Toledo. This is by far the best Mexican food restaurant in NW Ohio. Just off I-75 in lima. So much to choose from. Chili relleno is the best we had since S California and Nevada. I wish it was closer to Toledo so it would become out go to place“
“Been a regular at peños for close to 15 years, both Ada and Shawnee locations. It’s a fantastic family run establishment which I believe is superior to Chipotle. Get a large fajita burrito, pile it on, then couple that with some chips and salsa/queso, you’ll feel right as rain! -“
“Nice little place with some dishes I'd never seen before. I had the pastor and pollo tacos. I also tried the Tlacoyo. Everything was delicious and came with side garnish of a toasted onion, pepper, and two lime wedges. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. Food arrived quickly. Definitely recommended and will eat there again.“
“The beef taquitos were great!Cheese Queso bacon fries C+, still a work in progress. The fries need to be crispy. With salt... before the add queso and bacon. There was alot of bacon but it was all in a clump in the middle. It would have been better tossed and mixed up evenly between fries, queso and bacon from top to bottom in the whole container. That would be ***** A+“
“I asked for no salt on margaritas & my BFF asked for salt. The waiter messed that up. Food was on point, though! Very yummy! More than enough. We all took some home for the most part! Would post pics but they are discriminating! Love u gals! ❤️“
“Authentic Mexican food, with a Tex max feel if you want it. You get the best of both worlds. The Burria is slow cooked and amazing. The margs hit hard. The people running the place are great. If this isn’t a weekly part of your life and you live nearby, you’re not doing it right.“
