Came in quietly, sat down, and immediately realized I had entered someone else’s unfolding life event. Before I could even look at the menu, the waitress called me “baby” and slid a coffee in front of me like it was court ordered. The coffee tasted like it had been threatening people since 4 a.m. I accepted my fate. I ordered waffles and hash browns. The cook prepared them with the focused anger of a man who’s already seen three things today and it’s still early. When the plate hit the table, it was perfect golden waffle, hash browns scattered and smothered, possibly also emotionally covered. To my left, a couple argued about rent, loyalty, and who actually owned the dog. To my right, someone was explaining their probation situation to a stranger who didn’t ask but was listening very politely anyway. At one point, the entire place went quiet because a man announced, “I’m not mad I’m just disappointed,” and even the grill seemed to pause. Food was excellent. Service was fast. No one flinched. Not even when glass broke. I finished my meal, paid, and left without making eye contact, because that felt safer. Highly recommend. Four stars...lost one because I accidentally learned too much about several people.

NICE LOCATION Service was good, food was tasty, hot & made to order (egg whites were perfect)... and the Motown music was an added bonus. All the staff was nice AND the bathroom was clean! Always a GO-TO when I'm in town visiting family.

Awesome employees and service! A warm and fun vibe with strong attention to customer satisfaction- great teamwork happening in there. The food was carefully prepared and delicious. Unfortunately the restaurant was not at all clean.

I’m normally a big fan of Waffle House — good food, fun atmosphere, and usually great service. Unfortunately, the Lima, Ohio location has been disappointing for quite some time.
They have taped signs saying Fridays and Saturdays from 9 PM to 6 AM are “to-go only,” which I can understand if it’s a security or staffing issue. But I showed up on a Tuesday at 5:50 AM and was told it was still to-go only. Then again today, a Saturday at 6:15 AM, I was told dine-in wasn’t available until 7 AM, even though the sign clearly says 6 AM. When I pointed it out, the staff member just shook her head with an attitude.
Policies are one thing, but inconsistent rules and dismissive customer service make for a bad experience. I love Waffle House, but this location needs better consistency and professionalism before I can recommend it.

You cannot go in and sit down even though they advertise they’re open For 24 hours! So you drive to go have breakfast because they’re open for 24 hours and yet you can’t sit down and go in and have breakfast! How in the heck does that work? You would just be better to go through a drive-through! Unreal

TRUCK DRIVERS…JUST KEEP DRIVING! Even though you want some coffee and food and sit down and eat, you can’t here! They advertise 24 hours a day, but you’re gonna be right back in your vehicle with your food because all they do is to go orders! They need to stop advertising that they’re open 24 hours a day… Just go to IHOP or just keep driving to another exit and go somewhere in Findlay! Sad
