This place is a retro gem. The atmosphere takes you back. The food is amazing, and the service is impeccable. We are staying close by and have been there every morning for coffee and Breakfast. Highly recommend!
DON'T BOTHER... Where do I begin?! This place was just a complete mess. First, the vibe is completely "go to goodwill and get stuff..." - or what you think your old maid aunt's basement would look like. Second we literally couldn't find a clean table - and when we walked in about 1 pm on a Sunday, there were only 3 tables full of people. So we ordered our food at the counter, and proceeded to clean a table after asking for a wash rag. The place itself could use a good scrubbing down truthfully. We ordered burgers, fries, tots and iced tea. The tea came out almost 20 min after we sat down - can't make this up. Burgers came out 10 minutes later - one with cold fries, the other missing the tots. Took it up to the only good thing about the place - a young guy working the register, and asked for hot fries and the missing tots. He apologized profusely, and said he would take care of it. Sat back down and asked a blonde worker who seemed like she was out of it-or maybe lost - or maybe high (can't make this up-we couldn't decide), walking by our table for a refill on the iced tea. 10 min go by. 15 min go by. 20 min goes by - and finally get the tea, but still no food. Decided to just be done. Went up and asked the young man for a refund on the fries/tots that never appeared, got the $ back with more apologies - you could tell he's used to this. Felt bad for him. The biggest crime is that the food was absolutely bland and uninteresting in taste or flavor. I have no clue how this place has 4 stars other than maybe we went on a bad day. But the food was just a waste of money. I want places like this to thrive so badly... But they need some serious help with this one. Just not worth the drive, time or money.

I tried calling the restaurant but no one answers. I wanted to inform them hem that I ate breakfast there yesterday and suffered the worst food poisoning ever. I have been on the toilet since 1 am and stinky burps I had to call off of work!

I don’t know where to begin, I’ve been here a few times but today just takes the cake. A small group, 3 friends, arrived shortly before 1pm on a Saturday. While they had several People in the restaurant they were not slammed or too busy. We placed our order and headed to the patio. The patio, wow this needs some work, not only was it uninviting the smoker outside had some much in the drip pan it was spilling out. We waited at least 45 minutes for our lunch and only 2 order came out. They lost a ticket and had to start from scratch. We ended up heading inside by the kitchen door to grab the burger. They had just dropped the fries they came out 5 minutes later, warm not hot and mushy. The owner/ manager brought it to the table with every excuse in the book, yet no apology. The manager indicated they opened at 8 and it was a long day. Well hello, your a restaurant open all day, so staff accordingly especially on a weekend. An apology goes a long way. Will not return!

Pretty bad. 3 ladies, 3 orders. After a VERY LONG wait Lady 1 gets her burger and it was cold, Lady 2 got her salad and it fine, but Lady 3 got no food......they lost her order!! 20min later they bring her burger but still waiting on fries (another 7mins). No refill on our water or iced tea. Then to make it worse the manager made all kind of stupid excuses (the best...oh we been working since 8am....lol... we got there at 1pm....gimme a break). Lady 3 did get her meal refunded).

Love, love, LOVE this place! Stumbled across it when I moved to the area a few years ago. I’ve enjoyed every item I’ve had and Mary and her staff are always so welcoming. Any time I have folks visiting from out of town, I make sure we come here. Highly recommend!

The food here is so very good - the taste, the quality - and somehow they’re managing to keep prices reasonable. Avocado toast is A+, and they’ll add a couple of eggs for a small cost. Bananas Foster pancakes were delicious. Coffee is actually very good, which is increasingly rare from my experience. The iced caramel lattes were “superior.” Hope this place is around longer than I am.
We're over a 90 min drive away and happened to be in town and hungry on a random Monday. We *will* drive back just for food from here. Can’t wait to go for my birthday!
Not many words can describe the euphoric feeling you get from stepping into this time capsule ♥️ 1970s vibe the food is absolutely enticing if I had two stomachs I would be able to order more food. The service has always been one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The atmosphere speaks for itself. And let me not forget to mention the amazing Mary who made this place possible, she is a delight to speak with and truly cares about our community let's go Lorain ??

We got there and the atmosphere was good, we ordered 3 shaggin wagon burgers. 1 as listed, 1 with our bbq sauce, and 1 without bbq sauce and union rings. It took them an hour to get the food out and they couldn’t get it right. The one that wasn’t supposed to have bbq sauce had bbq sauce, and the one that wasn’t supposed to have bbq sauce or unions rings had some mystery sauce and they didn’t put bacon on it. The pattys were thin and the service was awful.

What a gem! Between the eclectic decor, amazingly great food (try the cherry preserves on your toast) and wonderful service, we will DEFINITELY be frequent guests!
