Really small spot but the food is amazing…Owner is very friendly and respectfull…You get a good amount of food for cheap…Drove a hour and a half and would do it again with no hesitation to sit and enjoy good Puerto Rican food…

Rude owners!! I ordered on THEIR website for delivery. 2 seconds after my order went through I got a text that the order was cancelled with no explanation. I call the restaurant and they tell me I have to contact DoorDash for a refund. I explained I didn’t order through DoorDash I ordered through THEIR website that I found on Google. She said well you have to come and order in the restaurant because the websites not ours it’s the old owners. I said okay so why don’t you guys try to get the website taken down if you’re not associated with it and all she said was that’s the old owners website and he stole your money. Verbatim!!! I said how is anyone supposed to know NOT to use the website that has their name, menu, phone number, and address AND it says order for pick up or delivery. She said oh well order your food here. I’ve never experienced this…. Mind blown.

This place reminds of when my grandmother and mom would cook. Everything I had was fresh and amazing, great food.

My wife and I have not been to the restaurant, but we have Been hearing positive things about the place but due to President Trump we can't go to restaunts due to lack of funds, but we'll get there soon.

I would recommend calling to order ahead since they are a little short on staff, but other than that the food is amazing!!! Great price, great portions and delicious food. The alcapurria de yuca was so delicious and met all of my expectations and so did the rest of the food. We got a rice with gandules and pork platter and that was amazing and so did the beefsteak with onions and rice and beans. All come with freshly cut and fried plantains and side salad. I will definitely come back for more and I recommend it. It reminded me of my grandma's rice and beans. 20/10 I recommend!

Tremendous, we visited today and the service was excellent. The don welcomed us with the kind of kindness that Puerto Ricans are known for. The fresh and delicious fritters, blood sausages, potato fillings, empanadas, everything. I also got my dough and pork pies here. I couldn't wait to get home to boil a joint. They are very rich, full of meat from end to end, very plump. Of all the money I spent today, those cakes were my best purchase. I plan to return. And those who live in Lorain who don't know about the Mofongo house, what are they waiting for?

I was passing by and knew I had to stop before heading to Michigan even tho the owner was the only one working the food and service was excellent definitely will be back if your in the area, passing by or just looking for some authentic puerto Rican food this is definitely your spot
