“I came with a group of friends and we all enjoyed this restaurant a lot. We had a variety of tacos, some queso, and burritos. The food was excellent but overall it's a little pricey. However, that is to be expected from a slightly higher-end eclectic taco restaurant. I plan on coming back and trying more of their interesting tacos. A fun place to meet up with friends or go on a date. Would definitely recommend.“
“This is a great neighborhood spot. The beers are great, the pizza is probably some of the best I’ve had in Cincinnati & surrounding areas, the rest of the food is awesome (incredible salads), the view of the river is really nice and the service is always top tier. They do get super packed especially on weekends but that’s to be expected. Heated seating is provided outside, and there’s a rooftop patio (not heated) but perfect for warmer weather. I come here frequently and it’s consistently just really, really good.“
“We used Mazunte catering to cater our taco bar for our wedding in November and would highly recommend them for your catering needs! The food was AMAZING - our guests all loved the variety and customizable options, plus it was just really really tasty! Our contact, Melissa was so helpful answering our questions and making sure our guests dietary and allergy needs were met as well as making sure we ordered the right quantities. We opted for just delivery and set up service for a very minimal fee so aside from preparing the food, Mazunte employees just dropped of the trays and set up the buffet, but they were on time, efficient and professional, and we didn't have to do a thing! Very affordable (VERY affordable for wedding events!), delicious, and crowd-pleasing option for catering!Dietary restrictions: Mazunte was able to accommodate our vegan/vegetarian, gluten-intolerant, dairy-allergy, and nut-allergy guests for our catering event easily.“
“They have a nice selection for lunch, several items with smaller portion sizes - I guess - there was still plenty of food, and the price was definitely lower than the evening menu price. Food was excellent, and great fast and friendly service.“
“Food was delicious and our server was great! We were disappointed in Brown Dog Cafe across from them, but TAHONA did NOT disappoint!!! I did not get to catch the name of our server but she was amazing! We were there around 2:30 to 3. We hope to see her again! We loved the hot chocolate and everything we were served. Will definitely be coming back again!“
“Taco Oso has the best tacos we have ever had in Cincinnati. We found this awesome place during Taco week and we have been back at least twice a week ever since. They only use elevated high quality ingredients as you can taste each quality ingredient in every bite. You can definitely taste the authentic flavors and quality ingredients! The staff is exceptionally caring, thoughtful and friendly! We have literally eaten hundreds of tacos from this location and consider it a true gem of Cincinnati since we are foodies. This wonderful restaurant offers food for omnivores and vegans alike! We love this place!“
“Coming to Ohio from Arizona, I was timid to try local Mexican food. I am so glad that I did though! This place is so authentic and the food is absolutely amazing! The carnitas and shredded chicken are some of the best I have ever had, and I was even able to order everything in Spanish! Would recommend this place to anybody!“
“Contrary to what many other negative reviews say, I disagree. I came in on a Friday around noon and was seated quickly, was served some great tacos where the size was larger than I expected. A person could easily get 2 tacos for lunch and get full. Now I can definitely see where this place could get backed up with a dinner rush and be understaffed and cause the quality to decrease. But that's precisely why you don't go out to eat during prime times if you want the best a restaurant can offer.Regarding the price vs quality/quantity argument, I compare this place to a La Cantina style restaurant, not a taco bell or $1 taco Tuesday place or even Mazunte! Think about it for a second, it's a restaurant sitting smack dab between Terrace Park and Indian Hill and you're surprised a meal would run you $20-$30? That's just unrealistic expectations!Constructive:Consider swapping the pico out for mango habanero salso on the baja fish. Although I'm a huge Mahi fan, I prefer it blackened & if it's fried you can never go wrong with some flaky Cod. The fish choice is personal preference though! Add another element to the pork belly taco like a sauce to elevate it further. It was the driest of the 3 that I had. Pollo Asada was the best overall IMO, which is not typically my expectation when put up against Pork Belly and Mahi!I hope you guys find success despite what others in the community are saying negatively! And if not, move downtown you'll have success.“
“Went there last night with my boss from out of town and a colleagu, we sat in the bar area. Our food was great, the server checked on us several times as well as the manager. Drinks were on point but the best part was the bar tende! He was hilarious, entertaining, and attentive to name a few.“
