We stopped in on a Sunday night around 7:45pm (they’re open until 9pm), and the restaurant was very quiet. We were seated promptly and our server brought chips and salsa right away, which was appreciated.
I ordered a house margarita and my son had a bottled Coke. The drinks came out quickly, but I really didn’t care for the margarita. It had an unusual flavor—almost a malt-like note that didn’t taste like tequila. I even asked the bartender what was used, and he explained that they make the margaritas in batches with several bottles of tequila, but the flavor still came across as off to me.
We shared a small queso, which was fine. My son ordered the bacon and pineapple fajitas, and the portion was very generous: plenty of meat and vegetables, plus the standard sides of rice, beans, pico, guacamole, lettuce, and sour cream. However, they only serve three small tortillas with the fajitas, which doesn’t match the amount of food provided. When we asked for more tortillas, there was an additional $1.99 charge and I was not told, just placed on the bill. It’s a small amount, but it felt a bit frustrating given the size of the entrée.
I ordered the Sopa Azteca for myself. It looked great, but the salt level was overwhelming—so salty that I couldn’t eat it, and I’m someone who generally likes salt. The server did remove it from the bill without question, though there wasn’t any follow-up to ask if I’d like something else instead.
Service overall felt a bit tired and disengaged. At one point, the bartender accidentally dropped something and shouted an expletive, which added to the slightly uncomfortable atmosphere.
In the end, the experience was just okay. The portions are generous, but the food and margarita didn’t hit the mark for me, the salsa was underwhelming, and the service felt flat. I don’t think I’d return.
Nachos Mexicanos! Loaded and full of flavor!.. the best Side order of Bean Burritos just a pleasure to eat. Friendly staff and good beer prices, what more could a tired traveler want . Highly recommend.

I've been coming here for over 3 years with my boyfriend. We already considered this one of our favorite taco places, and somehow you've impressed us even more. After remodeling, and the new menu, those cooks are back there working. Everything was so delicious! The beef in the Quesabirria tacos was melt in your mouth perfect ratio of fat to lean meat. Same for the Carnitas tacos. If you can't decide on an appetizer, the chicken queso dip is to die for. Our server, Mercedes, was as sweet as can be. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and quick. I am so happy to support a local restaurant 💕
