20 Best Wineries near Madison

Vincent William Wine Winery •
1300 Belleair Ave, Madison

“Been twice.. for brunch and dinner. As a food professional, food good, service good, bar selections need to be more and portions a bit small for price. Rolls should come with certain entrees … I am sure as they work through things it will get better. Great view! Recommend a few kids options to encourage families.“

Silver Crest Cellars Winery •
4511 Bates Rd, Madison

“The wines here are top shelf. I tried the Agawam wine (a unique old style grape) and found it fascinating and delicious. I'm hooked. We took my parents here for a 64th wedding anniversary wine tasting. My 89 year old father found the Cabernet Sauvignon to high standard. This is a small winery with big taste for sure. We definitely have to return to enjoy a picnic outside. It was nice to learn about how the different soils affect the taste of the wine.“

Cask 307 Winery • $$
7259 Warner Rd, Madison

“Always a good time at cask, this is our favorite stop in Geneva. They have a great selection of wine, beer cider, and a small food menu that includes gluten-free options of flatbreads, a few small plates, and sandwiches. Don't let the video fool you, this was taken on a Monday in September before noon. They offer live music some afternoons and the staff is so friendly. Shout out to Donna and Heather!“

Baci Winery Winery •
7800 Warner Rd, Madison

“Had a wonderful time at Baci! The facilities were beautiful and clean. Shout-out to their Winemaker, Lauren Fiala, for the informative tour. Had lunch afterwards with fellow tourists. I had the Strozzapreti alla Bologenese, and we shared the Calamari. The pasta itself was made from scratch, the sauce had plenty of meat, and the Calamari was very tender. I would heartily recommend both getting a meal here, and taking a tour, if you have even a passing interest in wine and how it's made!“

“Highly recommend Grand River Winery - great facility inside and outside with a surprising variety of menu options that are really delicious. Both red and white wines that are very tasty and they have a lemon drop ice wine drink that my Wife really loved. Excellent service staff and the food was outstanding and portions were very generous. Laurentia Vineyard & Winery Wineries • $$
4599 S Madison Rd, Madison

“Such a beautiful winery! It is off the beaten path but so worth it. The food was honestly better than a 5-star restaurant. The property is beautiful with vineyards all around and a lake out back. The interior has a cabin feel to it but they have a private library downstairs for booking as well. We visited on a cold rainy day but it was still such a good time. Staff is so friendly and took us downstairs to the wine cellar for a quick tour and explained all about the winery! Would 10/10 recommend to anyone coming to this area! We were visiting from SC but have done a lot of the other wineries in the area and this one was by far the best. We’re planning to come back in the summer to see the outdoor area!Food is well priced for what you get. You can’t go wrong with the meat and cheese board. It has plenty of everything for everyone. The baked Brie came with bread and was topped with nuts and honey. The pork osso fell off the bone and was a really large portion size. The mushroom ravioli was also fantastic. We got the unoaked Chardonnay which was recommended to us by the staff. I usually am a Pino Grigio person but that Chardonnay was one of the best I’ve had! Once again everything was so worth the price because of the flavors and portion sizes!“

Stonegait Winery Wineries • $
4275 Bates Rd, Madison

“We always have a nice time at Stonegait! Today we stopped by for lunch on a beautiful Friday afternoon. The winery is massive! Lots of tables and a huge fireplace that is usually lit in the winter. The outdoor space is also large and they frequently have live music on the weekends. You order your drinks and food at the bar and they give you a buzzer so you know when you're good is ready. On this visit, I had a wine slushie and my husband had a beer. We split a pizza and it was delicious. There are lots of wonderful wineries in this area but he sure to put Stonegait on your list.“

Hundley Cellars Wineries • $$
6451 OH-307, Geneva - 3.42 miles

“Very small building and parking lot compared to the other Grand River places I visited today but SO popular. Last time I came it was so busy we couldn't find a table to sit. Everyone crams in to get a spot inside. They have awesome live music. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They do have outdoor seating but it'd be better in the warmer months. I loved Endless Summer and Blonde Ambition but Harvest Red is very delicious! Highly recommend.“

The servers for our event went out of their way to ensure that our guests were well fed & cared for. They were sensitive to our situation & made sure that we had enough food when additional guests joined our party. The food was hot & ready right on time when we arrived. South River Vineyard Wineries • $$
6062 S River Rd W, Geneva - 4.57 miles

“We visited 5 different wineries for my sister's bachelorette and South River Vineyard was everyone's favorite stop! The inside of the church was small, but we loved the patio. There was plenty of seating out there for our group of 10 and it was stunning with its high pillars and nice views of the vineyard. We tried a white wine and the Karma red wine and both were very good. Definitely recommend for the ambiance and views!“

Deer's Leap Winery Winery • $$
1520 Harpersfield Rd, Geneva - 5.39 miles

“Always our first and last stop when we head out on a wine excursion. Staff is always friendly and accommodating, food is great and priced below what you would expect. Yes the wine is on the sweet side but that is true for the grapes that grow on this area. If that's not your thing the bar is full service and the drinks are always well made. Overall a great night out whether your just having a quick stop while visiting the area or an entire evening, afternoon or combination. Deers leap is and always will be our favorite and best stop when we come to Geneva wine country“
