Food was great. The server was amazing! Would definitely recommend. A little pricey, but definitely worth it!
Burgers and fish sandwiches were delicious… the buttery toasted bun, oh my! Good, strong drinks! Also had walleye bites and kraut balls for apps-delish. Here from out of town, called ahead to confirm they had pet friendly patio seating as stated on BringFido.com. Dog bowl with ice water was waiting for us at the table! The patio atmosphere is gorgeous. Only four stars service because of the really bad attitudes from the staff when we walked in ONE HOUR before closing. It was so obvious, and I overheard enough that I asked host if we should just leave. I get it. Long days and all. But it was uncomfortable - including for the people at the bar who overheard as well. Originally host told me they couldn’t seat 7 on the patio. But we parked right there and could see it was empty, so I said we could sit at two tables. The entrance is cramped with the bar right there, so there was some confusion with the host when I asked if the 7 of us could wait down by the patio. After we were seated (at one table plenty big enough for us all), all three ladies were very friendly and we had great service. Most people I know would have left - we stayed bc of the dog and have zero regrets! It was worth the drama! 😅
Best restaurant in a 20 mile radius, it is hands down the best. Food is always great, cozy atmosphere and great service.
One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Our server was rude and completely inattentive. There was a cockroach crawling on the ceiling — yes, really. The food was awful: dusty burger buns, tiny portions, and absurdly overpriced. What made it worse? They kept pitchers of water on dusty old bookshelves and used them to refill our glasses. The whole place was way too dark, smelled weird, and just felt unclean. Save your money and your appetite — go literally anywhere else.
Came here for dinner. The appetizer platter was fantastic. Saurkraut balls and mushrooms were perfect. I got the steak and shrimp. A ribeye...while cooked well was just ok. The shrimp was cooked very well and was good. My date got the salmon and she said it was fine. Not the best food I've ever had and not the worst.
In the area for a conference.
Stopped here with no expectations. My friend had an Ameretto Sour while I had a local IPA. Both very good.
Dinner was the Lobster Mac and cheese.
Excellent .
Service was prompt and attentive.
Nice outdoor seating.
Oak Park never disappoints! We always have great service and the food is consistently delicious. In the last 40 some years, we have chosen Oak Park to celebrate occasions or a random date night.
food was really really good. the appetizers were all fried options. we got the platter since it was our first visit and i was pleasantly surprised how well cooked everything was. it was hot and crunchy but not greasy. salad was really good and fresh and my steak dinner was very delicious. the only reason im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because we probably waited about 40 minutes for our entrees.
I have never had a bad meal here. The seafood is fantastic. Most recently I had the Veal Marsala which was excellent. This place is one of the best restaurants in the area.

We had a reservation and were seated. The restaurant was less than half capacity, and the staff proceeded to ignore my wife and I for 35 minutes. 4 other tables that came in after us had their orders taken. The waitresses looked right at us multiple times and just kept walking, so we left. Never going back.

Worst $30 meal I've ever had. Ordered Cuban-spiced snapper off the specials menu. The snapper spicing was mediocre and it was a bit overcooked. The saffron rice was basically inedible - simultaneously mushy and undercooked. The salsa was main redeeming feature but there was probably only a tablespoon or two of that. Meh. Do not recommend.
