Traveled from CT to try a cassata cake. We didn’t buy a full cake cause we’re traveling with only 2 people. We got a cream horn which was absolutely scrumptious. We got a small cannoli which was perfect. We also got 2 cassata cupcakes.. the cupcake itself was wonderful but the frosting was too sugary. If they would use the whipped cream from the cream horn on the cassata cupcakes they would be out of this world delicious!
My parents were visiting and I needed to get them a birthday cake and I wanted it to be something local. A coworker raved about their cassata cake so I had to get it. It was very good, we all cleaned our plates! But my young son demolished the cupcake that I got for him as well. The next night I ate a cupcake and I could see why, the icing is amazing!
