My husband and I had our wedding reception on the Valley Gem. The crew was exceptional - friendly, helpful, and made setup and cleanup easy for us! The dinner we selected was delicious, and the cash bar option was a hit with our guests! We will recommend the Valley Gem for anyone seeking a unique occasion celebration!

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch time cruise on the Muskingum and Ohio Rivers. We ordered the box lunches and were glad we did. The chicken salad sandwich was delicious. But the portions were huge! We probably could have shared one. The male captain gave us lots of interesting facts about the area. Thanks for putting this barge and tug together for your cruises.

The Farm to Table Cruise was a whole lot of fun. The chef introduced the menu items and the local sources for the food. The entire team was enthusiastic and professional. The food was good. And the boat ride on the Muskingum and Ohio Rivers was very smooth and quiet. I highly recommend this dinner cruise, especially if you haven't done one before.

This was our second trip this year. We did the narrated sightseeing trip a few weeks ago and brought the family back for the roaring 20’s dinner cruise.
The food was abundant and very tasty.
The pineapple upside down cake was amazing.
Then enjoyable entertainment on the upper deck.
We are bringing a group of friends back for the murder mystery dinner cruise in September.

Love all the events they have to offer. And the meals are always excellent, but.....the beef wellington is used little too much on the menu. (imo)..sorry, I'm probably the weird 1 that doesn't devor it, but with other choices it's always a win win........and we keep on keepin on and hope that we don't hit a repeat. We enjoy the river tremendously so the menu would never keep us away.

We made a reservation for seafood buffet on Friday night. This is our first time in Valley Gem, very lovely and warm place to enjoy the dinner.Service was good, seafoods buffet had about 8 to 9 dishes all you can eat.Very cool to experience it.

Tried the Brunch option. Asked for the breakfast burger it had burger, fried egg, bacon, would be quite dry the others with me ordered something that already had Carmelized onion on it so I asked if it could be added to mine. I was quite rudely told no. Caramelized onions are one of the easiest things to prepare. So I ate the dry plain burger. They used ready made sausage patties as a side. And ALL of the food was COLD. Terrible experience for that amount of money, bad experience regardless of the price. Do not recommend.

We were a bit hesitant because there were no other customers during the prime dinner hour, but we gave it a try and were glad we did. Good weather, so we dined atop the deck. Saw a couple of beaver playing on the river bank! Our party ordered four different entrees and three different salads--100 percent pleased with all of them. Not cheap, but the price matches the quality. Highly recommended.
